Xaron is a Turaga of Fire residing in the Astray Alternate Universe. He serves as a senator in the Spherus Magna Council.
History[]
Early Life[]
Created by the Great Beings, Xaron was created as a Toa, and was never a Matoran. Xaron began his life on Spherus Magna, where he helped in construction of the Matoran Universe. Following the completion of his task, Xaron was placed in the Southern Continent, to protect the Matoran there. Shortly after the launch of the Great Spirit Robot, Xaron gained true sentience due to Velika’s tampering with the Matoran Universe. Although he continued his original task, the Toa was granted emotions and became self-aware.
Xaron served as a guard in the Western Plains region, where he protected several Matoran villages alongside his fellow Toa. Despite being one of the first Toa, Xaron was uninterested in leading through example or raising a new generation, and frequently struggled to be seen as a "hero". During the expansion of the League of Six Kingdoms 80,000 years ago, the continent was seized by the warlord Mantax, who was known to have marched his army through the region and established several strongholds. The Toa was not present at the time; infuriated by the cruel treatment of his homeland, he joined a local rebellion. Xaron placed himself on the front-lines of the conflict, working closely with various Toa and the Brotherhood of Makuta; most notably the Makuta warrior Daxos and the Matoran scout Raeys.
Following the downfall of the regime, Xaron would be gifted a Tablet of Transit by Daxos as commendation for his skills. Finding it difficult to return to a time of peace, the Toa would accept the invitation and became a servant for the Brotherhood. For several centuries, Xaron protected a variety of Makuta and traveled across the Matoran Universe on their behalf. Ultimately, his servitude was not to last, but the Toa would be remembered as one of the first Toa Hagah.
7,000 years ago, Xaron would be requested to serve at a large fortress near the Southern Continent. This fortress held the Makoki Stone; as a former servant of the Brotherhood, Xaron was frequently distrusted by his fellow Toa. The Toa Fortress was attacked by a large group of Frostelus, who began indiscriminately killing Toa. Though Xaron was capable of escaping the fortress, he was critically injured in the assault.

Xaron would return to the Northern Continent as a celebrated hero. Here, he transferred his power and became a Turaga.

Later, the Great Spirit Robot was damaged heavily as a consequence of the Battle of Bara Magna. The inhabitants of the Matoran Universe, including Xaron, emigrated to Spherus Magna.
Spherus Magna[]
Upon exiting the Matoran Universe, Xaron aided in the construction of Atero Nui. As a famed hero, the Turaga was asked to serve on the Spherus Magna Council, representing his homeland.
Abilities and Traits[]
Xaron is a gruff, hardened individual. His experiences have left him cynical and slow to trust others.
As a Toa of Fire, Xaron could control the Element of Fire allowing him to create, manipulate, and absorb heat and fire. Upon becoming a Turaga, these powers were reduced greatly.
Mask and Tools[]
Xaron has worn a Kanohi Hau for his whole life. As a Toa, the mask enabled him to project a quasi-holographic force field around himself, blocking most physical attacks.
Xaron wielded many tools throughout his life, but was initially given a small shortsword. For a period of time, he utilized a harpoon. As a Turaga, he wields the Blaze Staff as a Badge of Office. The staff can channel a small portion of his elemental powers through it, though Xaron does not care much for using the tool.
Alternate Versions[]
Darkonverse[]
In the Darkonverse, Xaron was a Ta-Matoran known as Argon , who lived in Stelt. He moved to Metru-Nui to escape the poverty and mistreatment of the Matoran. During this time, he met a fellow Ta-Matoran named Flare. Much later, after Flare became a Toa, Argon was badly injured, breaking all of his limbs, and suffering from a minor blood clot. He was then sent to Karzahni, where he was rebuilt into a much smaller and weaker form.
Trivia[]
- Elements of Xaron, such as his name and occupation, were inspired by the Transformers character Xaaron. Similarly, elements of his personality were inspired by fellow Transformer Impactor.
- Xaron was originally developed by Redastrayzero's brother, as the Matoran Argon for use in his storyline. This version of Argon would inspire Xaron's original page and, to a lesser extent, his current iteration.
