Wira was a Toa of Life and ally of the reformed Order of Mata Nui. He was an Av-Matoran prior to wearing the Ignika, returning to his Matoran form after losing the Ignika.
Biography[]
Early life[]
1000 years before the Great Cataclysm War, Wira was created by Mata Nui as an Av-Matoran. He did maintenance on the Great Spirit Robot. As an Av-Matoran, he used his limited elemental powers to maintain the Core Processor in the Great Spirit Robot.
When the Brotherhood of Makuta attacked the Core Processor room, Wira watched as Suram automatically transformed into a Toa of Light. Suram was quickly defeated and the Av-Matoran were targeted. Wira and Karza escaped the Brotherhood of Makuta by hiding the machinery around the Core Processor.
Great Cataclysm War[]
Wira and Karza hid during the Great Cataclysm War. Suram knew where they were and did his best to protect the duo, though he was overpowered by the Brotherhood of Makuta and Karza was killed. Wira managed to escape.
Donning the Ignika[]
One night, Wira awoke from a nightmare of events when the Brotherhood of Makuta slaughtered the Av-Matoran. He walked through Kehidupan, seeing shadows, reaching the Core Processor room. Wira thought the Ignika was on the ground, picking it up and returning it to the Core Processor.
Wira removed his mask and wore the Ignika, feeling as if he would become a hero like Suram. Power flowed through his body and Wira fell unconscious.
He awoke in the Order of Mata Nui's interrogation chamber. After concluding he no memory and did not steal the Ignika in the first place, the Order of Mata Nui decided to train him and find a way to keep Wira alive while returning the Ignika to the Great Spirit Robot.
Kidnapped by the Infernal Legion[]
While in Kehidupan, Wira was kidnapped by the Infernal Legion. He was later rescued by Suram, released by the Legion with the message that Abaddon would return.
Wira was later stationed with the Order of Mata Nui by Helryx, though he knew this was for his protection.
Traveling to Aratakhas[]
Wira joined Suram and Helryx to Lautan, where he greeted the Ga-Matoran sailors. He was pleasant to Tema though still worried that the Matoran were not fond of him. Wira noticed that Helryx and Suram were both distant on the boat ride to Aratakhas.
After they reached Artakha's hut, the group were surrounded by a pack of Kralj. Wira used the Mask of Life's powers to communicate to the Rahi, which Helryx did not approve of. She pulled him back and attacked one of the Kraji, driving the pack away.
Wira stumbled upon the seal for Artakha's storage shed. Helryx was shocked to learn that the Masks of Creation, Dimensional Travel and Time were missing. As they returned to Zivot, Wira felt a sense of doom.
Attack at the gate[]
Wira felt the presence of Vicoran and readied himself for combat. Both Suram and Helryx took charge of the battle and Helryx fought the Makuta. He rushed inside with Suram.
Once inside, Crescent killed a Ta-Matoran guard and fought with Suram. Despite his best effort, Wira could not save the life of the guard, which he lamented. Crescent taunted him and Suram as he defeated the Toa of Light. Wira was attacked by the Shadow Toa but saved by Eclipse and Solstice.
Wira attempted to heal Suram but could not use his Life powers on demand. After Suram was defeated, Wira took it upon himself to fight Crescent, but was interrupted when Vicoran launched Helryx through the gate.
Rise of Abaddon[]
Vicoran stabbed Wira from behind and he blacked out. He woke to the Makuta talking to Karzahni, who mentioned that the Mask of Life healed Wira. He was dragged through the door to the Core Processor room as Crescent shattered Karzahni's vat.
Wira re-lived the night he donned the Ignika, devastated to see his friends killed by his actions. Vicoran taunted him after revealing it was an illusion created by his Olisi. The Makuta threw him to the ground when they reached the Core Processor room and kicked him over the pedestal meant for the Ignika.
Vicoran removed his own mask and wore the Mask of Dimensional Travel and placed a hand on Wira's mask. Wira was swapped with Abaddon and he found himself in the tyrant's pocket dimension. He accepted the isolation as his destiny.
Personality and traits[]
Wira is quiet and non-judgemental. He is confused about what his Destiny is. Wira notices that Matoran and other inhabitants of the Matoran Universe look at him with envy and dishonour. He feels he is to blame for putting on the Ignika and he is the reason Mata Nui is dying. This feeling makes Wira believe he is not wanted among the Order of Mata Nui and the whole Matoran Universe.
Concealing his true feelings, Wira has adept control of his emotions and always has a passive expression. He does not outwardly show emotions, standing straight and looking lifeless in every situation. Wira spends most of his time watching, learning from the actions of others.
Despite an eagerness to learn and a desire to maintain friendships, Wira is naïve. He has inexperience in combat and encountering strangers. While not judgemental, Wira is unable to determine if someone is a friend or a foe without alarmingly obvious details.
Powers and equipment[]
Wira does not possess any elemental Light or Life powers. He can however use the Ignika's power like it was his own, evolving and devolving creatures at will. Using even the smallest amount of power is very physically draining on Wira. He is limited to using the Ignika's Life powers for one minute per day. Any more use would result in unconsciousness.
Wira carries a broadsword, which he obtained from the Order of Mata Nui. Wira can make the sword drain the energy of his target on contact, though doing so is draining. Wira's inexperience makes this ability next to useless in most circumstances.
