Weduk (formally stylized as His Excellency, Senator Weduk of Spherus Magna in Spherus Magna) was the Toa Mazra of Plasma and then Toa Hagah of Plasma assigned to Makuta Nutrex. As Turaga, he was a member of the Spherus Magna Council.
Biography[]
As a Su-Matoran, Weduk resided in Mazra Nui. Through a twist of fate, he underwent a transformation, ascending as a Toa, and he proudly joined the local Toa team, the Toa Mazra.
Over time, the Toa Mazra's ambitions grew, leading them to declare themselves rulers of the island, a decision supported by the local Makuta. However, this action sparked opposition from the island's main inhabitants, the Bukgu, who firmly rejected the Toa's claim.
As the Toa Mazra continued their transgressions, one of their members became disillusioned and rebelled. This renegade Toa joined forces with a team of Bukgu to create a powerful object known as the Nui Stone, intending to use it to overthrow the Toa's dictatorship. Unfortunately, their plans were discovered by the local Makuta, leading to the banishment of the rebellious Toa.
This event triggered internal conflicts within the remaining Toa Mazra, causing them to turn against each other. Seizing the opportunity, the Bukgu reclaimed power, overthrowing the Toa and forcing them to disband. In disgrace, the Toa Mazra went their separate ways, leaving Mazra Nui behind.
Toa Hagah[]
In a surprising twist of fate, Makuta Nutrex needed Toa bodyguards and chose Weduk to join his elite team of Toa Hagah. Recognizing his status, some of Weduk's former companions presented him to the Brotherhood of Makuta with honor, earning him the prestigious armor denoting his elite status.
When the Brotherhood of Makuta's treachery was exposed, Weduk and his team made a daring escape from the island of Destral.
Turaga[]
With Teridax's demise, Weduk and all the denizens of the Matoran Universe migrated to Spherus Magna to embark on a new chapter in their lives. Upon arrival, Weduk made a selfless decision, relinquishing his Toa power to create a new team of Toa, assuming the role of Turaga.
In time, Weduk became the respected leader of a village and earned a seat in the Spherus Magna Council, representing his community's interests.
After a life of leadership and service, Weduk passed away peacefully, 200 years after the events of The Invasion. His position in the Council and the mantle of village leadership were entrusted to Turaga Kryehk.
Abilities and Traits[]
As a Toa of Plasma, Weduk possessed the ability to generate, manipulate, and even absorb plasma at will. The searing power of his elemental control was awe-inspiring, allowing him to unleash devastating attacks and defend against formidable foes. However, with his transformation into Turaga, his once mighty powers were significantly diminished, although his wisdom and experience remained invaluable to those he guided.
Mask and Tools[]
Weduk's Great Kakama, Mask of Speed, granted him unmatched speed, enabling him to dart through the battlefield with lightning-like agility. After becoming a Turaga, his Kakama was downgraded to its Noble version, still allowing him a degree of quickness.
Equipped with a Rhotuka Launching Shield and a Neon Spear during his time as a Toa, Weduk channeled his plasma powers through these tools, enhancing his abilities and augmenting his combat prowess. As a Turaga, his Neon Spear underwent a transformation, shrinking in size to become a staff that served him in guiding and mentoring his fellow villagers.
