Vo-Powai, officially the Powai Nuian Regional Polity of Lightning, was one of the four regional polities of Powai Nui recognized by the Powai Nui Governing Coalition, located in the central and north regions of the island. Notable for its extensive grassland, varying elevation, and turbulent weather, it was primarily populated by Vo-Matoran.

History

Early History

Vo-Powai was created along with the rest of Powai Nui during the creation of the Matoran Universe. As with the rest of the island, it was devoid of wildlife and vegetation until the Great Beings populated the island with Rahi, plants, and Matoran.

Environment

Vo-Powai was a hilly, grass-covered area composing a large portion of Powai Nui's landscape. It was recognized for its most common organism, the 30-foot-tall greatgrass plant, which composed a large majority of the area's plant and total biomass.

The region was largely inhabited by Vo-Matoran, as its open fields and polarized weather made it the most likely place on the island for lightning to strike. It was also inhabited by all other primary types of Matoran, many of whom were there to trade or run shops.

Trivia

• "Feral Plains" was originally Vo-Powai's official name, but Chondrya demoted it to a nickname and Vo-Powai was made its official name as not to confuse it with The Feral Plains. The name was later retconned altogether.
