The Kanohi Vehere was the Mask of Transmission. It allowed its user to communicate bi-directionally with another being via a psionic connection. Communication with the mask worked like an instant messenger, as the user and target would send information to each other in separate pieces. It did not noticeably strain its user when used for too long, instead doing so when a certain amount of messages had been sent. As long as a user kept the mask activated, they could keep in contact with a target for a relatively long amount of time, upwards of an hour.

The user could not open communication with any target, only those who they knew well enough and who were within range of the mask. Unlike the Suletu, the user could not access the mind of the target, although with training the mask could be used to determine the emotional state of a target. The mask was limited by range but worked over long distances as long as the user could remember the target they wished to communicate with well enough.
