hey

so, i havent made one of these in a while. well, more than a while. ill be honest, i doubt ill make another one either, but who knows. i also doubt anyone will read this, but i kinda felt like writing it

recently ive been reading through my old pages here, and ive been enjoying looking back on all of it. the nostalgia, the cringe, everything. i havent touched bionicle in months, i havent built anything in longer. yet recently ive been feeling that draw, the desire to relive this theme that used to be such a massive part of my life

i mostly ceased activity here due to a lack of interest and later, a lot of personal issues that took close to half a year to resolve, so that was a thing- once again, i doubt ill stay active on here long, but i wanted to talk about bionicle one last time here, hence this post

so here i am, writing this little ramble to a community that i never fully joined, that i never truly got to know. i guess i kinda regret that, and maybe ill join the discord server, if its still around, because id like to get to know this community better

just now i rewatched this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYjGvQJmpqA&t=4227s, nick on planet ripples retrospective on bionicle- if any of you havent watched it id highly recommend it- and it got me thinking about this little theme that was probably the only reason i still care about lego. i thought about how i used to tell my own silly little stories with the few figures i had, how the story awed me well past the age id have thought id enjoy the books. its been a long journey through the years, and its always amazing to me how incredible bionicle was. i still doubt ill do much involving it, but who knows.

to wrap this up heres a selection mocs, both the first ones i have photographed, and my latest builds from last year

vorttrex is a moc constructed at my grandparents house, as a hero factory villian, although he was later adapted as a rahkshi	a mercanary i made who eventually evolved into kyaele	infernerex was another moc made to be a hero factory villian, although again he was adapted as a rahkshi, although he looks far worse than vorttrrex as one

buzzzix was a moc that i made when most of my parts were in storage, hence the bizzare design	this was my version of skirmix, as i was never able to aquire the set	these are a pair of villains, the one on the left was made by my sister using naparu mahris frame, while i made the other

the risen drudge was made as a basic minion for a faction that  i never really fleshed out. it was the first of a new wave of mocs that i created that i never really fleshed out	it was the first of a new wave of mocs that i created with a more detailed build

the risen outrider was obviously made for the same faction	this build was significantly larger than the dredge. it originally had a four-legged design but i changed it to a bipedal build because it was less stable and looked kinda bad

ithryn is just a moc i made because dancer of the boreal valley is super cool and i like the idea	the build is almost completely custom, except the upper arms and feet- there are a few meh design aspects because of part limitations but oh well

the eigth version of kyaele, a makuta from my first g1 universe	this build was mostly a refinement of the previous version, reducing the length of the torso

so i really liked the man serpents in dark souls 3, so i built an adaptation of it	its a decent build, no custom limbs, but im rather proud of the torso and head

this character was never named, but was made to be a shepherd of the risen- i believe she was named something like the "shepherd of serenity and fury" dont remember the exact name	this bulid is almost completely custom, barring the upper arms and feet. this is a later version, i did take photos of earlier versions but i have no idea where they are

the final thing id like to say is an apologies for my abrupt departure from this wiki. i know that i never really talked with anyone here outside of the briefest mentions, but id like to think that someone noticed my absence- anyway, seeing as i guess ive been here over two years now, i guess ill say goodbye- whether or not ill stay gone is up in the air, but im in the mood to do so

thanks for being such an amazing community, who, even though this wiki is well past its prime, still managed to draw me into the depths of this theme, the possibilities of what could be created within its universe
