My last blog was in 2020 and with it was the last general activity update I gave folks.
I'm doing well global pandemic not withstanding! I got redeployed to do emergency grant support for workers without income for most of 2020-2021, which was the most fulfilling role I've had in my working life. When my contract ended, I used the skills I'd built up to get my current job doing online learning support and accessibility troubleshooting for a local university. I do a lot of the same work I would do with Wiki, from content/access management to developing plugins and providing support.
Things are going well! I'm working with ToaGonel to develop lots of new stories and projects for Myths and Legacy.
Got an Instagram account that has seen some pretty nice success.

Lewa Phantoka[]

| Resisted the urge to swap the limbs around and managed to incorporate some vehicle addon parts. | Not a great deal has changed but I added lots of silver and shortened the arms, which allows the jetpacks to be posed at an angle. | Here he is in flight. Very swooshable figure! |
Kopaka Phantoka[]

| Custom mask and sleeker build. Also added some silver to balance those wings. | Makes for some very dynamic poses. | I like to imagine this being something similar to his vehicle form we never got to see. |
Pohatu Phantoka[]

| Added some more height and changed out the turbines to be more practical. | Pohatu here went through a fair number of revisions until I was happy with him. He and Gali were very hard to crack. | In the end though, I think I honored his original build whilst also acknowledging his history of non-standard frames. |
Tahu Mistika[]

| Added Inika legs and modified the torso to be more proportionate. | Tahu had the best visual presence of the Mistika and was the real standout of the wave for me as he looked vaguely Toa-like. | Very happy to have been able to give him Inika legs. My only regret is that I wasn't able to incorporate the Mstika claws to his legs. |

| Complete overhaul. Glad I was able to acquire the vehicle addon parts in dark blue and do something to make the mask work. | Went back and forth with the color scheme and the mask choice. | The blaster weapon was another last minute addition inspired by some other Gali Mistika revamps I've seen. |

| Custom mask and thicker build. Improved the legs and carried over some of the original characteristics. | Especially happy I was able to add vehicle faring to his back. | Much better. |

| My favorite Toa Mahri set. Loved the crimson crab motif on a Toa and felt he was the standout of the wave. | Decided to give him a revamp to enhance his best features while also giving him a connection to attach his Hahnah Crab (Pewk2). | "I've found the mayyysk!" |

| Lots of modifications to this one. Went back and forth between substituting the limbs and feet but I ended up really liking the scuba suit/flippers look on him. | The leg design was very directly inspired by the-matoran over on Instagram, though I've added my own twist to fill in the gaps. | No love for the Aqua Blaster Blade, I'm afraid. Always thought it was silly to give Nuparu a third weapon when he doesn't have enough hands to carry them. |
Kongu Mahri[]

| Kongu Mahri, armed with his two Cordak Blasters and plenty of attitude. For this revamp, is was especially important to carry over the bulkiness of the original set. | I've seen lots of headcanons positing that Kongu Mahri's armor was a sophisticated pressure suit to allow him to use his Air powers underwater, so I chose to keep as much of the bulky design elements as I could. | Much of this build was inspired by ComradeTorque, whose bulkier builds have been a great inspiration. |
Hewkii and Hahli Mahri[]

| I also have a Hewkii Mahri revamp though I need to do more with him. I'm glad I was able to tidy up some of the rougher elements and am proud to call this a completed revamp though I'm conscious that he's still very one dimensional. | He should be at least as over-armored as Kongu and, right now, he looks quite spartan and incomplete when standing next to Kongu. | Similarly for Hahli, I'm reasonably content with the build but feel more should be done. Not entirely satisfied with the proportions of her torso and arms, especially when compared to the scale and complexity of other revamps. Got any suggestions? |

| This guy has been frustrating me for years. Everything about his in-story description characterized him as a warrior of immense strength battle prowess while his set form opted for sleek, vulture-like proportions and Rahkshi legs. | Much the same as Gali Mistika, I had to take some more extensive creative liberties to find something I liked. | The custom mask really makes the build pop though and I'm now finally happy with the compromise I have found. |

Agitra and Ilidu[]

| Toa Agitra A Toa of Lightning who wears a Mask of Summoning. Often summoning Rahi that prove more dangerous than threats she summoned them to combat, Agitra remains conscious of Rahi sharing her general environment whenever calling upon her Kanohi and experiments with it extensively. |
Toa Ilidu A Toa of Plasma who wears a Mask of Fusion, Ilidu is from an industrial background. He uses his Kanohi to merge with his teammate, Agitra, resulting in a titan form with limited command over both Plasma and Electricity and tremendous strength. |
Transformed into Toa at the height of the Dark Times, the presence of both Agitra and Ilidu in a single village attracted unwanted attention. As a result, Dark Hunters frequently raided the area and captured Matoran in hopes of luring the Toa out and killing them. Forced to leave the village in order to bring peace to the Matoran, the pair began wandering the Southern Islands of the Matoran Universe, searching for opportunities to uphold the values of the Toa Code. |

| Defender of the Northern Continent during the Dark Times. | Ogura wears a Mask of Biomechanics, which he often uses to sabotage Brotherhood war machines. | He's equipped with a back-mounted spray canister, which can spray fertilizer and Nitrogen-rich chemicals needed to stimulate rapid plant growth. This tool can also double as a welding torch. |

| Defender of Artakha during the Dark Times. Inventor of the Av-Matoran Booster Rockets. | Upon her transformation into a Toa, Eritraa was gifted a Great Mask of Stone, an Elemental Kanohi that allowed the bearer to move rocks within a given environment. Notably, the Kanohi did not permit the bearer the ability to absorb or manipulate Stone or boost the existing Elemental Powers of a Toa of Stone. At present, Eritraa is widely believed to be the only known bearer of a Mask of Stone. | Eritraa subscribed to Artakha's belief that Toa should wield tools to repair damage rather than inflict injury. She carried a sophisticated Toa Tool capable of channeling her Elemental Powers, which could also be used to latch onto a target from afar or for rock climbing. |

Parrea[]

| Makuta of Galria, the island from which Toa Lesovikk originally resided. Parrea would spend much of her life attempting to access the Ancient Shrine beneath Galria, eventually growing obsessed with the arcane glyphs and runic inscriptions until her death at the beginning of the Reign of Shadows. | Given her fascination with reanimated Fusa and reclusive sensibilities, Parrea was considered something of an outcast by her fellow Makuta and was left to her research in isolation. Despite her allegiance to the Brotherhood of Makuta, she also proved reluctant to create Rahkshi to support the organization's military campaigns. | She was designed with a dark tan color scheme due to the lack of Stone-themed female characters in the wider BIONICLE toyline. She also sports a custom Kanohi Tryna, one of the few Immoral Kanohi unseen on a Makuta in official release. |
