Alright here we go.
Watch as Vakama1995 plagiarizes every name in this blog
Generation 1[]
Toa[]
Toa Jarodin A recreation of Mott's iconic Self-MOC, complete with legs. |
Toa Vulzaria Toa of Lightning belonging to Windfall the wanderer. I gave her some moderate tweaks but have been a pretty big fan of her for some time. |
Toa Rezan Toa of Plasma belonging to Windfall the wanderer. I felt quite a connection with this particular creation so I went out of my way to recreate him for my personal collection. |
Toa Merall Toa of |
Toa Lesovikk Standardized Revamp for everyone's favorite Toa of Angst Air. |
Okay, I wanted to give one spotlight each but I had to include a second angle of that glorious Sea Sled, which actually fires by turning the handlebar. |
Toa Orde The first Toa of Psionics, who notably failed to repress the Zyglak in the early history of the Matoran Universe. Despite the precise nature of his Elemental Powers, Orde possesses a natural reserve of pent-up energy, making him impulsive and passionate. For a long time now I have pictured him wearing a Kanohi Sanok since the physicality of its power matches his abrasive personality. He also sports a Psionic Saber. |
Toa Zaria I’ve always envisioned Zaria as a character with considerable baggage. Emerging from the Dark Times as the last Toa of Iron in the universe can do that to a guy, and he certainly seemed a begrudging and rugged individual. After all, few folk in the Matoran Universe can brag about having killed a Makuta in a Steltian tavern. This rendering of Zaria sees him sporting a Protosteel Sword looted from the Makuta he killed and a Mask of Adaptation, which has enabled him to evade Brotherhood search parties for so long. |
Toa Chiara Though excitable and eager, Chiara is a solitary figure who prefers to act off her own merits rather than rely on teammates. Equipped with a Kanohi Volitak and armed with a pair of Volt-Blades, she stalks targets from the shadows and strike with ruthless efficiency. |
Standardized Toa Nuva Here we have Adaptive Armor forms of Tahu, Onua and Kopaka wearing color-correct versions of their Nuva Kanohi. Get ready to see lots of Kanohi variants for these guys. |
Toa Barionk An interesting one I whipped up in Photoshop recently, Barionk's form pre-disguise, with the correct color scheme for a Toa of Gravity. Imagine seeing this and thinking "hey, this guy needs a Kadin and to be merged with Arker!" Wild. |
Unnamed Toa of Iron A Toa of Iron known to have been hunted down by Makuta Icarax and left in the desert plains of Karzahni. While he would live to be one of the final Toa of Iron in the Matoran Universe, his Kanohi would later be recovered by Hewkii and worn by Toa Kongu. |
Toa Hagah Bomonga Toa Bomonga, equipped with golden armor and sporting a Rhotuka Shield capable of firing powerful electro-magnetic pulse Rhotuka, disrupting the mechanical systems of any non-sentient target within a blast radius of twenty bio. Typically, Bomonga used this Rhotuka to shut down mechanical defense systems, drain power grids, and deactivate automated sentry units, such as Vahki or Exo Toa drones. I feel that the flat gold compliments him extremely well. |
Toa Hagah Gaaki Toa Gaaki, equipped with silver armor and sporting a Rhotuka Shield capable of firing cramp-inducing Rhotuka. I chose to give her the Kopaka Blizzard Blade as I really enjoy seeing Toa Hagah MOCs that mix and match weapons from Toa of different elements and feel the blade better befits her than Kualus. |
Toa Marn Toa Mangai of Earth. As a Toa, Marn wielded a Quake Axe, an ornate melee weapon crafted by Ta-Matoran weaponsmiths after his role in defeating the Kanohi Dragon. Using the Quake Axe, Marn was able to channel his Elemental Powers. |
Toa Valtruu A loner by nature, Valtruu was motivated by a heavy conscience and a clearly-defined sense of morality, endeavoring to rise up in defense of all Matoran. Largely unaccustomed to life amongst the Toa Mangai, he often retreated to the Ga-Metru waterways and maintained a close friendship with Toa Naho. As a Toa, Valtruu wielded a Frost Shield, a weapon which he often affixed to his feet as a snowboard or used to channel his Elemental Powers. |
Matoran[]
Vancha A Bo-Matoran resident of Mahri Nui who was reluctantly conscripted into his role as a botanist, desiring to instead serve the village's guard unit by patrolling the city's perimeter and fending off aquatic Rahi attacks. |
Kyrehx A Ga-Matoran sentry known to have briefly touched the Ignika whilst patrolling her region of Mahri Nui. |
Reysa Ill-fated Hydruka shepherd, known to have been dragged into the depths and killed by one of Kalmah's squid in the opening chapters of BIONICLE Legends 6: City of the Lost. Brought together by fate, Reysa was a lifelong friend of Barek. |
Barek A bold denizen of Mahri Nui, Barek refuses to accept that his old compatriot, Reysa, is dead, and he will travel through the darkest levels of the ocean to prove as much. The horrors of the Pit are enough to terrify even the most experienced Matoran, including this Ko-Matoran, but he presses on, determined to locate his friend. But with this Ko-Matoran, it seems there is more than meets the eye, for it is said that in the days before the sinking of Mahri Nui, Barek and a certain Po-Matoran of Voya Nui were particularly close... |
Valiti and Emuyii A Ta-Matoran and Ko-Matoran built in MNOG style. They are both share a love of gardening as well, dabbling in the tepid glacial soils of Mount Ihu and the volcanic earth of Ta-Wahi. They two are unlikely Mahi Salesmen, who were separated by the Rahi Wars. Regardless, the pair remained in contact, sending messages to each other across the island and taking great lengths to convince their fellow Matoran that Mahi could climb trees, swim and pull carts faster than Ussal. Needless to say, they never managed to secure a returning customer. |
Malruuk The Fe-Matoran Chronicler of Nynrah. Malruuk was zealous and industrious by nature. While not an especially accomplished technician, he possessed a natural affinity for designing weapons and armor for more capable crafters to construct on his behalf. |
Solek The Av-Matoran Toa enthusiast in his Spherus Magna form. |
Turaga[]
Dume Turaga of Fire and elder of Metru Nui, here realized with a fancy trans-blue Lightstone Staff reminiscent of his movie appearance. |
Jovan Turaga of Magnetism and elder of Voya Nui, here realized with KhingK's fabulous Noble Kadin and sporting the sand blue/black color scheme that I feel works far better for Fa-themed characters than black/gunmetal. |
Valado Turaga of Sonics and elder of the Southern Continent, who used his Toa Power to heal an injured Vo-Matoran, transforming her into a Toa in the process. |
Marolix Turaga of Stone and mentor of the Toa Vastrius, belonging to Ahpolki Inika. |
Glatorian[]
Vastus Prime Glatorian of the Jungle Tribe. Due to his actions during the Core War, Vastus bears a hefty weight upon his conscience, and strives to redeem himself for his wartime transgressions. Throwing himself into service of the Jungle Tribe Agori to rectify his sins, he grew fiercely protective of Tesara, his adoptive village. Vastus remains my favorite Glatorian owing to his combat proficiency, color scheme and engaging character arc. Almost entirely overlooked by the narrative of 2009, I feel he is a character ripe for potential. |
Mata Nui The mysterious Thornax-slinger who arrives to save Bara Magna, now with more manageable shoulder spikes, additional armor and a sword that looks convincingly like the one seen in The Legend Reborn |
Tarix Tarix is often described as Bara Magna’s golden boy and is a figure known for both his diplomacy and his impenetrable moral resolve. He has a decorated career of military service, outfoxed only by the superior tactics of the great Certavus. I always liked the Thornax Launcher mounted on his Water Blades but I know that community opinion has ruled against the contraption. |
Ackar Prime Glatorian of the Fire Tribe, Ackar is Vulcanus’ reigning champion and one of the most skilled arena combatants on Bara Magna. More of a tweaking than an actual revamp, but I made a few of my own modifications to him. The set itself was pretty solid if a little uninspired. I guess I built on that. |
Kiina Impulsive, temperamental, and fiercely protective of her fellow Glatorian, Kiina was a character ruled by her emotions. As another deeply nostalgic 2009 set, I took great lengths to do her justice in this revamp whilst keeping as many of the elements and textures that worked in set form. As you can see, I went for a more movie-accurate weapon. The shoulders also echo a technique used for Caliga in the past. |
Agori[]
Makuta[]
Parrea Creator of the Fusa and Makuta charged with presiding over Galria, the homeland of Toa Lesovikk. Complying with her role as protector of the island, Parrea at first nurtured the Matoran under her charge and helped them establish civilization before a group of Toa set up a large outpost on the island. With a large desert biome occupying the western region of Galria, Parrea was also known to have forcibly established large numbers of Fusa, to the extent where the central desert region is nicknamed the Fusa Plains. While she survived through the Dark Times, she was ultimately killed along with all remaining Makuta following the accomplishment of Teridax's Plan. |
Icarax At long last a version of the Makuta of Karzahni that I am content to share. After a great many redesigns and listening to a number of designers, I have been able to produce a version of Icarax that balances the color distribution of the original set with a more armored appearance befitting the Brotherhood warmonger we all know and love. I am especially pleased with the upper legs, feet and weapons. |
Generation 2[]
Arker (Okoto) An Okotan villager rendering of Toa Arker, the Self MOC of Invader39. Hailing from the polar northern regions of the Okotan planet, Arker concerns himself with the studying of ancient artifacts and the exploration of ruins, occasionally venturing underwater on intense treasure-finding expeditions. Having grown up on bedside tales of Jarodin, Elemental Master of Magnetism, Arker yearns to follow in the mighty Toa’s footsteps someday. |
Kongu A villager inhabiting the Jungle Region of Okoto. Kongu is inquisitive by nature and longs to one day fly among the treetops. A close friend of Jaller and accomplished official in his village, Kongu was a notable relation of Harvali. He wears a ceremonial mask belonging to an ancestor of his, forged long ago by Ekimu and passed down through the generations. This mask differs from traditional Protector masks and was markedly crafted in the shape of Toa Lewa’s Mask of Jungle. |
Nuparu A villager inhabiting the Earth Region of Okoto. Nuparu is a notorious tinkerer, known for his fascination with the ancient technology of Okoto's ancient history. A firm believer that the ancestors of the Okotan people were an incredibly advanced civilization, Nuparu endeavors to follow in the footsteps of Ekimu and Makuta, constantly inventing new gizmos and gadgets in the hopes they will improve the quality of life for all Okotans. He wears a ceremonial mask belonging to an ancestor of his, forged long ago by Ekimu and passed down through the generations. This mask differs from traditional Protector masks and was markedly crafted in the shape of Toa Onua’s Mask of Earth. |
Matoro A villager inhabiting the Ice Region of Okoto, Matoro has spent his life following in the footsteps of his father, charting the ever-changing glacial tundra but secretly aspiring to work with the animals that populate the island. He wears a ceremonial mask belonging to an ancestor of his, forged long ago by Ekimu and passed down through the generations. This mask differs from traditional Protector masks and was markedly crafted in the shape of Toa Kopaka’s Mask of Ice. He is also notably my first creation to make use sand blue paint, a shade that I was recently able to replicate. |
Nigiira The daughter of Kivoda, Nigiira is a young villager who is beginning to wrestle with her tremendous responsibility, for she will one day succeed her father as the Protector of Water and be charged with defending the realm. However, such are matters for another day when she is older. For the moment she is content to live her life to the fullest. |
Makuta (Generation 2) Regarded as Ekimu's prized disciple, Makuta set about crafting his own Masks of Power, chief among which were his own Mask of Control. However, in spite of his efforts, he would never be able to outlive the shadow of Ekimu. Plotting against his fellow crafter, Makuta struck an alliance with the Skull Raider tribe. |
Ulvado The Skull Snatcher, who served as a pawn in the grand scheme of the Skull Grinder and Skull Basher. He was equipped with a Bull Skull Mask and an Elemental Trident. This build is based around that fake polybag set I saw floating a while ago. Be sure to check out his full story in Riptide! |
In Closing[]
That's all from me for now. Quarantine keeps me from accessing my collection, unfortunately. So it's going to be an exceptionally slow year. However, I will continue to update my MOCs when I get the chance, bringing you the best content I can.
In the meantime, be sure to check out my latest exploits in Myths and Legacy, including The Perilous Catch, my latest storyline release!
And remember kids, if you run into trouble with a guy on the internet, be sure to blame it on your nephew, block anyone who disagrees with you, declare you hate CBW, then continue to steal the content you claim to hate!
