Many Turaga have ruled over Metru Nui since the time Metru Nui was first founded. Each Turaga had major contributions to the development of the island. A Turaga of Metru Nui was either elected by their predecessor or by popular vote from each Metru district. Below goes over the line of Turaga of Metru Nui. The most recent Turaga of Metru Nui is at the bottom of the table. After the Great Cataclysm, the lineage of Turaga of Metru Nui was disbanded in favor of having multiple Turaga leading the city.
