The Toa Niu were 4 Matoran chosen by Artakha to become Toa and assist the Toa Mata.

History

4 Matoran living on Artakha were chosen by Artakha to be the 4 Toa to assist the Toa Mata. they each received a Toa Stone and were transformed into a Toa at a Cre-Suva.

After their transformation, the Toa were approached by Order of Mata Nui members, who presented the Toa Niu with a wide variety of Gear to choose from.

About 700 years after the Great Cataclysm, the Toa Niu were sent towards Mata Nui in Canisters similar to those used by the Toa Mata. Due to a Malfunction caused by a rushed Launch, the Canisters went off course. The Life Support systems managed to put the Toa Niu into Stasis, which critically damaged their memory and left them only remembering basic facts about themselves and their mission. The Call Function from 6 Toa Stones being assembled also activated in the Toa Niu's Canister, albeit at a slightly slower pace.
