The Toa Akura were a team of Toa originating from the island of Voya Nui to protect the Matoran of their village against the Legion of Chaos's attacks 10,000 years before the Great Cataclysm. They are currently defunct.

History

The six members of the Toa Akura started their lives as Matoran from different islands. Drax and Lexa came from the Southern Continent, Vastara and Filx from the Northern Continent, and Karn and Len from the Southern Island Chains. At some point, the Turaga in Vastara, Filx, Karn and Len's villages went insane and shipped them off to Karzahni to be "fixed".

There, Karzahni recreated their forms to be smaller and weaker. To make up for his work, he gave them weapons with different powers and sent them along with several other Matoran to the Southern Continent. They then found themselves in Drax and Lexa's village and restarted their lives there.
