Chapter 1[]
Itok sat upon his favorite chair in his hut. His hut was atop a canyon looking over his village which laid in a grassy landscape with scattered trees. All the sides of the canyon were walled up except for the far east where the ocean laid calm and seemingly endless. Itok’s hut was to the west and above all of thy canyon, a path led his hut to the village but he knew she deserved to be apart from the matoran. He felt as if he did this to keep them safe for what he had become but was still there if trouble were to even come to Ventraa-Nui again.
Itoks' hut was simple. He had a bed, a table, a kitchen, and a window that looked over the village that resided in the canyon, and beyond that the ocean. Itok had books as well, that is what consumed most of his time besides all of the reminiscing of the old days before his “fall.’
Itok loved books, as a matoran he was a scholar and loved learning and reading about the world. He specialized in history and loved learning more about the world he lived in. He remembers wanting to explore the world as a matoran, a smirk protruding from his Great Kanohi Suletu remembering being a matoran filled with hope and dreams. If only he knew then what he knew now he would have never expected that toa stone. But then, he thought to himself, would his village still be standing if he did not do what he had to save them all? Itok shook his head, getting rid of the thought. There could have been another way! He didn't have to result in doing what he did! He was supposed to be a toa not a savage! He should have…
His thoughts were cut off by his door swinging open. Itok looked over and grabbed his weapon but it was only Lezak. He laid down his weapon and looked over at his Toa of Air comrade.
“Itok, It’s a sun-shining day out and you're in here, brooding like a Turaga with no matoran to command around!” Lezak said, eyeing his Icy friend.
Itok knew Lezak was trying to get me out of his house but Itok said. “I'm busy, brother, why don't you go without me!”
The Kadin wearer forced a frown across his kanohi. “I see!” Lezak said sarcastically, “If you stare at that window any longer maybe you'll get new glass abilities!” Lezak chuckled awkwardly, not even putting a smirk on his brother’s face.
Silence filled the room as Lezak tried to break the silence, “The matoran are asking about you!” He said firmly, "I believe they're quite concerned about you!”
“Or they're terrified of who will be my next victim, and hope I never return!” Itok said facing away from Lezak.
“Look, I'm tired of telling you the same thing! You did what you had to do and if you didn't do it, I would have!” Lezak said with confidence.
Itok looked at Lezak,” You wouldn't be a real Toa like me then!” The Toa of Ice shouted as he stood up.
“You may not think of yourself as a Toa, but that doesn't change the fact you're a hero.” Lezak said as his face got serious. The toa of air turned around and left, closing the door behind him.
Itok felt bad, Lezak was only trying to get him out of the house and make him feel better and he snapped at him. Maybe it was better this way he thought, the further others are from me the safer they are.
Itok walked over to his bed and laid down. He knew it was morning but he felt like resting. He laid down and closed his eyes needing to get some rest after another sleepless night.
Chapter 2[]
Many years ago
Omrii was the first to fall but that was during the beginning of the battle. The battle was raging for a while now. The toa were covering the matoran as they fled underground their village was under attack, Matoran lay dead, buildings and hut are burning all over, the village turaga lay slain, and three toa are left.
The sun recently set, and lightstones, stars, and fire are all that illuminate the former peaceful village. Itok, Lezak, and Trimarii are all that stood between the Makuta and his Rahkshi and the Matoran.
All the matoran made it underground when what seemed like a legion of Rahkshi rushed the three toa as they used their abilities on their enemies. Trimarii, Toa of Fire used his abilities to melt the Panrahk’s staff of fragmentation as he impaled the Rahkshi through the forehead.
Itok and Lezak looked at each other and Lezak asked, “Ice Twister?” The toa of Air asked. Itok formed a giant block of ice on the ground, Lezak then formed a Twister around it and wicked up the ice. The Twister went towards the Rahkshi, scooping some of them up and throwing them around. Trimarii saw this and took cover just like his two brothers did. Lezak threw one of his ice pincers into the twister and went back to his cover. The air pincer hit the block of ice and it shattered impaling ice all over the village impaling many Rahkshi.
The Makuta was able to avoid the attack however and continued his attack. The three toa got out of cover and pressed on. Trimarii headed right for the Makuta as Itok and Lezak fended off the Rahkshi.
Itok stood, weapons locked with a Rahkshi as Trmarii was struck through the chest by a bolt of lightning from the Makuta palm. Trimarii’s heartlight flickers off, as his body fell limp. Itok dispatched the Rahkshi in anger and faced the Makuta.
The Makuta saw the angry Makuta and used a power scream to throw Itok back into a broken hut.
Lezak saw he was the last Toa standing and began to create a vacuum all around him. The Rahkshi were scrounging for air as Lezak continued absorbing the air. The fires in the village were all suffocated by the vacuum. Itok and the Makuta knew what he was doing as the Makuta braced for Nova blast. Itok ran back for a bit until Lezak erupted creating hurricane-like winds. It tore the Rahkshi nearest to him apart as air destroyed the village around them. Itok was being thrown around by the powerful gusts of air. The sky was cluttered with everything that wasn't nailed to the ground. Itok was flying around trying to avoid hitting objects mid air but it was too late when a giant plank of wood appeared at the corner of his eye and hit him head on knocking him out.
