Taunce was an architect before turning into a Toa and later a Fusion Toa by Teridax.
History[]

Matoran Life[]
Taunce became an architect because he was so interested in destiny. He wanted to predict what people's destinies would be. He saw that he would soon be a Toa, but was unable to find any other infomation.
Hydrax, an Onu-Matoran friend, found that Turaga Dume was enslaving all the matoran. Little did they know it was Teridax in disguise. Taunce belived that this was his destiny, to stop Teridax.
Lone Toa[]
Using a Toa Stone he found, Taunce took it to the Great Temple to turn him into a Toa.
Meanwhile, Bansin, Ta-Matoran friend and architect, saw that this was not his destiny. Bansin, Hydrax, Shabe (a Ga-Matoran), Range (an On-Doin'-Scouting Matoran of Plasma/Ev-Matoran), and Jiion (a Le-Matoran) formed a group and found that the only other way to find him was by turning into Toa of Fire, Water, Air, Plasma, and Earth. They called themselves the Toa Armor.
They went out in search of Taunce, only to find him trapped by Teridax. Jiion, leader at this time, went up first, only to be trapped too. Teridax announced his plans of fusioning Taunce and Jiion. Shabe went up and tried to stop him, but the Makuta avoided him and started fusioning them. Makuta had planned for them to be fused together, to have two minds and get jumbed, eventully dying of the confusion. Instead they too got fused and what was left was a fused Taunce. The mask of Jiion, the Kanohi Zatth, remained only of Jiion.
Afterward, Taunce had found both his personalty and powers changed. (see sections for both)

Toa Armor[]
After Jiion fused with Tauce, he was declared leader of the Toa Armor. While the Toa Nuva and the Toa Ignika were at Voya Nui, Teridax had infected the Turaga's Kanohi. The Toa Armor, along with the help of Takanuva, beat the Rahi they had summoned and found replacment Kanohi.

Before the fusioning, it was said that Taunce used one Modified Hordika Teeth.
After fusioning, the Hordika Teeth turned into a large Protosteel Blade, similar to the one that Kopaka had, but larger. He also carried an Ice Gun with Ice Peg.
Taunce had the Kanohi Akaku Nuva.
