Takadox's Species were a race scattered throughout the Matoran Universe.
History[]
Shortly after the successful departure of the Great Spirit Robot from Spherus Magna, Mata Nui became somewhat overeager with the creation of new species to serve additional functions, resulting in the plethora of different species that would come to inhabit the Matoran Universe. Takadox's species was one such creation, possessing natural hypnotic abilities. Mata Nui intended for this species to become one of the primary species of the Matoran Universe. During this time, Takadox was selected as the warrior-leader and the species became one of the component members of the League of Six Kingdoms. Many members of his species would leave their homeland and pledge themselves to his army, which occupied the eastern regions of the universe.
80,000 years ago, Takadox's species were poised to conquer the Matoran Universe, along with their allies in the League of Six Kingdoms. Once it became clear that the Barraki warlords intended to denounce Mata Nui, however, the Toa and Brotherhood of Makuta joined forces to defeat the Barraki and capture their armies. With Takadox removed from power and widely believed to have been executed, the rest of his forces were captured or killed.
Having failed in their bid for universal conquest, attitudes towards the species turned sour and they were shunned to the southern reaches of the universe by Matoran. In many instances, the species continued to reside in small pockets across the southern islands, though their villages were often raided and they were driven into harsher territory. It is generally considered that the species fell from prominence and was considered to have died off, many of its surviving members falling as a result of League of Six Kingdoms hostilities.
Takadox's species have since abandoned the Great Spirit Robot after it was rendered uninhabitable.
Abilities and Traits[]
Takadox's species were insectoids capable of hypnotism, although not to the same degree as Takadox following his transformation by the Pit. The species was incapable of deactivating their hypnotic abilities, however, and often avoid eye-contact with other beings, although they were immune to each other’s hypnotism.
The species could wear and use Kanohi but generally chose not to.

Trivia[]
