Suram is a member of the reformed Order of Mata Nui.

Biography[]

Early life[]

1000 years before the Great Cataclysm War, Suram was created by Mata Nui as an Av-Matoran. He did maintenance on the Great Spirit Robot. As an Av-Matoran, he used his limited elemental powers to maintain the Core Processor in the Great Spirit Robot.

When the Brotherhood of Makuta attacked the Core Processor room, Suram automatically transformed into a Toa of Light, as an in-built defence mechanism of the Great Spirit Robot. He was quickly defeated and most of the other Av-Matoran were killed.

Great Cataclysm War[]

After the Order of Mata Nui regained control of the Great Spirit Robot, Suram was shocked to find out Wira and Karza were still alive.

After the War[]

When Wira donned the Ignika, Suram tried to convince Helryx and the Order of Mata Nui that Wira would not do such a thing on his own accord. Suram did not see Wira until after the interrogation had finished.

Encounter with the Legion[]

Suram was part of a team assembled by Helryx to track down a Bounty Hunter in the Lost Continents. The group was ambushed by an army of Skakdi. Suram fell unconscious while the Toa fought their way through the army. He dreamed of Karza's death and Wira wearing the Ignika, blaming himself for both events.

He regained consciousness once the battle was over. Suram returned with the team back to Kehidupan to report the return of the Infernal Legion. He was unhappy with the Council of Kehidupan when he found out that Wira was kidnapped. Suram was invited to a meeting with the Council, where he supported Kisa's suggestion of creating an assault team to search for Wira.

Suram joined Kisa and the assault team when they entered the former base of the Order of Mata Nui in the Lost Continents. He was present when the group encountered a Skakdi and a Makuta, but fought with Crescent, able to parry his surprise attacks. Suram was joined by Uragan in combat, until he was defeated by Crescent.

He was taken to Wira in a separate room, witnessing Crescent, Vicoran and "Shadowplayer" reveal the Infernal Legion and the return of Abaddon. Suram was taken back to the assault team and returned with them to Kehidupan.

Travelling to Aratakhas[]

Suram travelled with Wira and Helryx to Lautan, boarding a boat with the two Toa to Aratakhas. He was surprised at Wira's concern for him, worrying himself about losing his best friend. He reassured the Toa of Life that they were stronger than they were during the Great Cataclysm War in attempt to convince himself they could stop the Infernal Legion.

On the island, he could detect the leftover elemental Shadow residue left by Crescent when the battled Yunak. Helryx quizzed him to make sure that was the only thing he could detect, which Suram hesitated to confirm. When they arrived at Artakha's hut, Helryx felt they were being watched. Suram informed her that it wasn't Crescent.

A group of Kralj surrounded the Toa, with Wira walking towards the closest one. Suram helped his friend to his feet after Helryx intimidated the Rahi away, impressed that Wira had unlocked some of the Ignika's ability. He noticed carvings beneath Wira's feet, which resulted in the group finding Artakha's storage shed.

After Helryx declared that the Mask of Creation, Dimensional Travel and Time were missing, he was silent on the trip back to Lautan and Kehidupan.

Battle at the gate[]

Suram felt the presence of Vicoran as the group approached the gate to Kehidupan, clashing with the Artificial Makuta. Helryx fought back Vicoran as Suram and Wira were ushered inside, the Toa of Light then watching as Crescent killed a Ta-Matoran guard. He got between the Shadow Toa and Wira, Crescent's blade driving into his shoulder. He was easily kicked away by Crescent.

Suram activated his elemental Light powers, creating his sword and shield of Light. He lunged in anger at the Shadow Toa, his blows getting more aggressive as the fight continued. Suram was slashed across the chest by Crescent, falling to the group. Wira attempted to heal him, though Suram remained weakened. He was present when the Infernal Legion took away Wira, eventually completing their plan to free Abaddon.

Revenge on the Makuta[]

Suram intercepted an attack from Crescent while he battled Eclipse, overpowering the Shadow Toa. Antroz teams up with the Toa and the three defeat Crescent. Suram prevents Antroz from killing Crescent, which allows him to escape. He denies Eclipse a chance to attack the Makuta, declaring that it is not the Toa of Magnetism's fight.

Personality and traits[]

Suram is indecisive, second-guessing his decisions and hesitating during dire situations. Having been completely overpowered by the Makuta when he transformed into a Toa, Suram doubts his own powers are strong enough to accomplish his missions. He does strive to become stronger.

Suram does not enjoy socialising with others or partaking in group discussion. He follows a set plan for missions but does not participate in the plan creation. Suram believes in taking action rather than discussing what to do. He is hasty yet hesitant in combat.

Due to being emotionally unstable, Suram has outbursts of emotions and is very easily provoked. He is able to deduce a lot about his enemies during combat, but he is easily consumed by anger and does not have the ability to use his deductions in combat.

Powers and equipment[]

Suram does not carry any weapons. When he first transformed, he had a sword and a shield, both created out of condensed elemental Light. It took Suram a lot of practice to replicate the Light-created weapons at will. Suram needs to remain focused to keep the weapons solid. He finds this difficult.

Suram makes the sword partially solid, allowing for a wave attack. He keeps the sword still and fires elemental Light energy from the end of the sword, cause a flash of light. Both of these techniques are easy for Suram. He cannot have his shield materialised while he uses this ability.
