Stormblood is the name of three concepts in Stormjay Rider’s story: an element, a species, and a prophecy.

The little scientific information about the Stormblood element comes from samples and scans taken from the Stormhawk Jethryn. It was discovered that the Stormblood samples littered his energy “bloodstream”, with particularly strong Stormblood regions found in his wrists and hands, from which he accessed most of his powers. In addition, since Jethryn had no true elemental pulse, it is possible that the Stormblood had infiltrated whatever causes elemental powers.
From accounts by older Toa such as Koret, it is believed that the Toa Eikaal has some Stormblood traces, however, the Order is unable to confirm this.
Species[]
Some Stormblood theories suggest that the Stormhawk is a member of an extraterrestrial or angelic species, referred to as Stormblood after their element. This theory has gained further support due to the possibility of Stormblood in Eikaal.
Prophecy[]
The most common use of the term “Stormblood” is in reference to the “Stormblood Prophecy”. This text was found in the writings of an ancient people, the Kron, which were hidden within the foundations of the Great Spirit robot and later uncovered, partially burned, in Metru Nui. The language they are written in is foreign to the Matoran Universe, and originally could only be read using a Mask of Translation, but several scholars of the Prophecy have memorized the series of symbols and can make out their individual meanings.
