Stomping Tree is an amalgamation of many plants. He is also one of Meltdown's top mutants.

Biography

When Meltdown was first making his mutants, he came across a forest on the planet Negatum. Seeing what would happen, he mutated a small cluster of trees along with any surrounding vegetation in that small cluster. The plants fused into tree-like entity. This being would be named "Stomping Tree."

Stomping Tree quickly became one of Meltdown's top mutants. His strength, dexterity, and regeneration factor is what made him an elite. Meltdown would soon mutate a Crocodile with a shark, fusing the two. This mutant would be known as "Jaws". Meltdown had Jaws be Stomping Tree's partner. Together, they would mutate countless beings into warrior slaves to Meltdown.

Abilities, Traits, and Tools

Stomping Tree is one of Meltdown's strongest mutants. This is because of his amazing strength, dexterity, and regeneration factor. If any part of him is destroyed, such as his arm or head, he can grow a new one. Stomping Tree also has the ability to duplicate himself. He does this by throwing special seeds onto the ground. In a matter of seconds, they grow into exact copies of himself, essentially being able to create an army. Stomping tree typically reaches his hands behind his upper back and throws the seeds to the sides of him.

Stomping Tree is an amalgamation of many plants. Because of this, he refers to himself as "we", "our", "us", and "ours", instead of "I", "my", "me", and "mine". Stomping Tree rarely shows any signs of emotion, but he has proven to be quite wise and a very deadly combatant.

Stomping Tree typically uses one or a pair of Vine Whips that he can produce from his wrists. He uses them to grab his opponents and bring them towards him. When he does this, he typically shouts, "Get over here!" or "Come here!" He can also make any part of him become covered in thorns, poisonous or otherwise. He can also secrete mutagenic ooze from his body, like a tree with sap.

Trivia

• When I first drew Stomping Tree, I had in mind a stick bug, commonly known as "walking sticks." Hence, "Stomping Tree." It was not until one of my friends said that I should have Stomping Tree be an actual tree.
• The fact that he refers to himself in a plural person is inspired by Ermac of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
  • His screaming "Get over here!" and "Come here!" comes from Scorpion, also from Mortal Kombat.
