The Staff of Water was a weapon of high technology, originally developed by Shadowmaster and then adapted by the Kestora and Great Beings.

History[]

The Staff of Water was originally developed by Shadowmaster, during his time in Alchemica Magnus. It was originally intended simply to amplify the user's energy into pure, powerful energy. The idea was later abandoned. After Shadowmaster's exile, the Kestora found the blueprints, and, along with the Great Beings, created a staff that could release elemental energy.

These staffs were originally to be manufactured, but when the Core War began, the Great Beings hid them away within their Tajun laboratory, in order to prevent escalation of the war with more advanced technology. However, the cache of the staffs was accidentally destroyed during a battle. One staff, the Staff of Water, remained, and was stolen by the Water Tribe. It was later given, as a war prize, to the Element Lord of Water.

It was lost during the Shattering, and recovered over 200,000 years later by the members of the newly formed Kingdom. It was given to Vahkna, as a sign of respect and authority. It was later transformed into a smaller, less powerful version upon Vahkna's transformation into a Turaga. It still remains with the Turaga, currently.

Function[]

The Staff of Water is a very strange and unique weapon, with highly advanced technology. It depends mainly on the user to function. The handle of the staff is composed of negative matter, which extracts the energy of all around it. The energy then travels through the semi-hollow shaft of the staff up to the blade and into a crystal in its center. The crystal is capable of transforming pure energy into matter, which, in the case of the staff, is water.

The use of energy can endanger the wielder, however. If the staff was to be used for too long, it could extract all energy from the user, exhausting them or even putting them into a coma. If the staff was broken, only the part with the blade would function, the other would simply waste the user's energy.
