The Sonic Sniper rifle is a projectile weapon that can only be used by Toa of Sonics or any Sonic Elemental.
Function[]
The rifle functions both as a musical instrument and a ranged weapon. Unarmed, the rifle appears as an aerophone that one can play like a flute or a clarinet. When used for combat purposes, the rifle can be converted into its combat form. Rather than conventional bullets or other rounds, the rifle's ammunition is the sound it produces. The weapon is fired by blowing notes into the windpipe, followed by conversion of the notes into minature sonic drills that impact with the desired target. This lack of physical ammunition allowed for difficulty in tracing culprits. The higher the notes, the further the penetration.
The weapon can only be used by users of elemental Sonics, as their elemental energy is what powers the rifle to allow it to fire its notes.
