History[]
Skull Basher was created by Mata Nui during the early years of the Matoran Universe.
Skull Basher started out as a guard of the Labyrinth of Control. Eventually, he grew bored of his job and decided to join Kulta and the Undead Raiders.
For many years, the Skull Raiders pillaged and harassed the Okotans, raiding their settlements and stealing precious valuables. While his true intentions during this period remain unclear, it is likely assumed that Skull Basher ascended to a position of prominence within the Undead Raiders, eventually earning his title and becoming Kulta's principal lieutenant.
Around this time, Skull Basher came to observe the duplicitous actions of Mask Maker Ekimu, remarking the industrial expansion of the crafter and its influence over the Okotan people. After ambushing a number of trade caravans, Skull Basher came to the realization that Ekimu was driving many of his own contemporary craftsmen to the edge of desperation. While few of the Undead Raiders cared for this discovery at face value, Kulta, the Skull Grinder, was known to have shared his lieutenant's concerns for the future of Okoto under the leadership of Ekimu.
The criminal activities of the Undead Raiders, however, were eventually brought to an abrupt end by the contemporary Protectors of the era and the Mask Makers; Ekimu and Trazark, whose combined might made them retreat high into the mountains. Shortly after this humiliating defeat, Trazark, who was planning to kill his brother, secretly enlisted the services of the Undead Raiders, ultimately earning their allegiance and respect.
When Trazark suceeded in killing Ekimu, Skull Basher was present when Kulta and Umarak ordered the Undead Raiders to commit mass genocide on a majority of the Okotan populace, and took part in doing so.
Currently, Skull Basher guards the entrance to the Temple of Shadows, blocking outsiders from entering unless permitted by Trazark himself.
Abilities and Traits[]
Being an Undead Raider, Skull Basher didn't have access to elemental powers. However, he did possess massive strength in compared to his fellow Skull Creatures. Preferring to clinically engage his targets individually, Skull Basher had a keen tactical eye and considerable patience. He also holds Kulta in high regards, going far as to even respecting him as a leader with integrity.
