A sub group of the Apex Dozen which includes the two Dozen involved with necromancy as a primary ability.
History[]
The Skeleton Kings was first categorised when the reanimated skull-legionnaire-turned-Makuta began his rampage across the Toa Confederacy. He was linked to the previous master of the skull legions and, hence, the two were grouped together. This sub group is the only one which was created as a distinction before the official formation of the Apex Dozen, only dealing with those two individuals who had both had their attempts at conquering the Confederacy and failed.
The two members were, eventually, drafted into the Apex Dozen, and this first classification of agents of Teridax (Spherus Imperus) was used to create the other subgroups the Dozen were split into over time. They are the smallest sub-group besides the Prime Progeny, containing only two current members.
There have been recent discussions as to whether to add Feiz and Zinnia into the classification, whether in a full sense or as a footnote, as the two are also associated with the Skull Dominator, being former skull legionnaires themselves; however, given their weak power levels and abilities, they have been left out for the time being by classifiers, as their importance was not deemed significant enough to become a part of the sub-group.
Members[]
There are two members of the Skeleton Kings, both of whom are related in some way to the Skull Legion and share sufficient power:
- Bartherious (Skull Dominator and leader of the Skull Legion)
- Skarthion (The Skulltaker and former legionnaire who has ascended to become a Makuta)
There may be other beings who have spread throughout the galaxy meeting the criteria for becoming a Skeleton King, but as of yet they have not been discovered.
