Shanis Nui is a city on Matus Nui, and is the former capital of the island.
History[]
The idea of making the city started when the Matoran first exited on Spherus Magna. When they didn't know where to put it, some Matoran and Agori went out to sea to find an island. When they found this one, the group decided to create a city there.
Pretty soon, construction began on the city. Halfway through the building, a group of Makuta attacked the site, now that they had discovered the location. Some Toa quickly came and expelled the Makuta from the site.
After constuction was completed, Matus Nui was recorded on the map and Shanis Nui received a spot on the new map. The city was huge, and soon after, tons of Agori, Toa, Glatorian, and Matoran move there as refuge for the war.

The city has several important locations inside it.
Main City[]
The CIty isn't divided into different sections for specific Matoran. Shanis Nui's main city is for all Matoran to enjoy. Anyone living there is assinged a home to live in, and the citizens do peacefully.
Prison[]
The Shanis Nui Prison is actually not like most other prisons: This one is actually located underground. Matoran are sent here very often, so they have no chance of escaping and pulling off more crimes. The prison also has a record; not one being has ever escaped the prison. Many have tried, all have failed.
Turaga Palace[]
Shanis Nui, like Matrux Nui, has a Turaga Palace located somewhere in the city. The Turaga Palace houses the Turaga of Shanis Nui, where he is free to rule.
Trivia[]
- The prison record comes from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" prison "The Boiling Rock," whose record of no people escaping comes from Alcatraz Island.
- It is the third largest city on Spherus Magna.
