Shadows of Darkness is a series of stories by DarknessApogee revolving around events taking place in the Shadow Alternate Universe.
Synopsis[]
The Shadow Alternate Universe is a dark and strange place, where those who were once villains have become heroes, and those who were heroes... became villains. Finding himself lost in this upside-down world, Toa Tavus must find a way to return home, while clashing against the minions of the Mad Titan, Mata Nui.

- The title Shadows of Darkness refers to different things.
- As far as the "Shadows" are concerned, it is an obvious reference to the Shadow Alternate Universe in which the main storyline's events take place, but it is also significant as to the fact that basically everything in this universe is the shadow of itself in the Prime Reality.
- The author is aware that the combination of "Shadows" and "Darkness" is a bit of an overkill, although it does transcribe the particularly dark atmosphere that shapes the universe.
- Finally, "Darkness" can be considered a reference to the series' writer, DarknessApogee, thus proposing a new meaning to the title, as "Shadows" would refer to the stories themselves and "of Darkness" would indicate that they are his own.
