The Shadow Sword was a weapon of rather advanced technology. It was developed by the Kestora and later manufactured by the Nynrah Ghosts.
History[]
The Shadow Sword was originally developed by the Kestora, as one of the weapons for the Godly Ones. The weapon was created to be bestowed upon the Chaotic One, as his signature weapon. During his turn to darkness, however, the Kestora kept the design and blueprints, and later, sold it to the Nynrah Ghosts for manufacturing.
The Nynrah Ghosts tested the item, with failed results. The one Matoran who had attempted to use it was killed with a power overload. Because of this, the Nynrah modified and resized the weapons into different types for use of different species: smaller beings (Matoran-sized), moderate-sized, and large-sized.
The weapons line was discontinued after Teridax's death. However, a Toa known as Bane happened upon one sword, and used it as his primary weapon.
Function[]
The original Shadow Sword was extremely powerful. It harnessed energy from the darkness in the world surrounding, and unleashed it, allowing the user to manipulate it in any way. The newer model performs this, less effectively. Depending on size, its power varies.
