- This story went through multiple drafts, with this final product being an amalgamation of the drafts' ideas:
- The first idea was a "drug bust" story about Johmak investigating the potential compromise of a fellow Order of Mata Nui agent, with her cover being the agent's lover. The agent would've been the host body of a Kraata that gained sentience and wished to report to the Makuta it was born from to reveal this new evolutionary development.
- The second draft was similar to the first, except Devastator is involved this time.
- The third was a simple story about Johmak training with Hydraxon and learning to not rely heavily on her ability to shatter. This element ends up here as Johmak's efforts to resist shattering.
- This story was written as it went along with little to no planning beyond what characters were going to be in it.
