Salvina, more commonly known by her nickname Salve, was the brave Toa Powai of Water defending the island of Powai Nui. As a Ga-Matoran, her successful career as an Otakini player was abruptly ended by an ankle injury. Later, when the Wraith Syndicate threatened the island, she became a Toa and helped form the Toa Powai, and served as its deputy under Navahko.

As a Ga-Matoran, Salve was tall, had near-fluorescent-looking yellow-green eyes and heartlight, and sported a single metallic ponytail. Her armor was dark blue and silver with sandy blue undertones.

The armor of her initial Toa form was very light and streamlined to complement her agility. Her previous sandy blue color became a more vibrant blue. According to her, this armor made her "look like a Vortixx", much to her chagrin, and she immediately wished to have it modified. (Wreshi, however, told her this armor would make her popular among possible female Matoran admirers, which she couldn't deny.)

In addition to cutting off her long ponytail, Salve had her armor modified soon after. She gained heavier armor, shoulder pads, and splotches of white. Notably, her left arm was entirely white, complementing her larger left shoulder pad and shield. Although she apparently had wanted white in her armor for years before, she admitted that Maroona's appearance as a Toa did have an influence on her upgraded look.

Taking ideas from Lewok's ranger equipment, she began storing her throwing knives on a bandolier around her chest. The way they resembled a claw when stored gave her the nickname "Sea Wolf" among the Matoran.

Powers and Equipment[]

As a Ga-Matoran, Salve had inactive Water powers, which gave her more lung capacity and greater swimming abilities. When she became a Toa of Water, she gained full access to these powers, allowing her to create, manipulate, and absorb water. Using these powers, she could create and change water currents, manipulate moisture, and summon and disperse floods and rain.

Salve wore the Great Kanohi Canera, the Mask of Locating, which allowed her to know the location of a living thing she had recently formed a bonded with using the mask. Notably, as she had formed these bonds with her Toa siblings numerous times, they were stored in her mask permanently, and she could locate them even if she hadn’t seen them in years.

Her primary Toa tool was the Impeller Blade, a sword-like weapon which could transform into a propeller. After the Wraith Syndicate's Invasion, she supplemented this with a small, light shield and a set of throwing knives, (reluctantly) putting some of her Otakini disk-throwing skills to use.

Thanks to her athletic career, Salve was very swift, agile, and fit. This, combined with her moderately heavy armor, shield, offensive capabilities, and limited Elemental healing abilities, made her somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades in combat. She spent many years honing her powers in order to generate jets of water pressurized enough to bore through rock and even some metals. This could be applied to her staff and throwing knives as well, coating the blades to make them incedibly sharp. She had even learned how to create cavitation bubbles, but had not mastered them well enough to put them to real use.
