The Red Star is a mysterious and enigmatic celestial object that originated from the Solis Magna System.

History[]
The Red Star was created by the Great Beings in the Valley of the Maze after the completion of the Great Spirit robot. The Great Beings then created and placed the Kestora within the star to run and maintain it. After the Shattering, The Red Star followed Mata Nui throughout the universe as he observed many planets, orbiting around each new world that he investigated.
The Red Star began receiving deceased beings from the Matoran Universe at some point. However, shortly after the mutated Ta-Matoran Gaardus's revival, the Red Star suddenly malfunctioned, and the revived beings at the time were unable to return back to the Matoran Universe, which frustrated the Kestora, The station's return function was ultimately repaired, and the trapped deceased beings were able to return home.

The Red Star, like most of the Matoran Universe, is made entirely out of Protodermis. The walls of the Red Star's interior is a combination of metal bands and organic tissue, similar to how the insides of a Toa look like. However, this material was freezing cold, compared to sub-zero temperatures. Inhabited and run by small beings called the Kestora, the Red Star was created by the Great Beings to assist the Great Spirit robot in taking off from planets. In addition, it helped conserve the robot's resources by reviving its inhabitants when they died as long as the memory data was 100% intact. The deceased would then be transported from the Matoran Universe into the Red Star, where the brain would be extracted and placed into a new body and once reawoken, they would be sent back.
