Rage Against the Makuta, commonly abbreviated as RATM or simply referred to as Rage, was a rap metal band from Irania Nui. Formed 10 years before the Great Cataclysm, the group consisted of rapper/vocalist Yezu, bassist and backing vocalist Gelik, guitarist Vortne and drummer Karael. Toa Ihu briefly joined the band when he first arrived in Irania Nui. They drew inspiration from early heavy metal instrumentation. Rage Against the Makuta is best known for its anti-Brotherhood of Makuta stance, which it had long before the Brotherhood's fall from grace, which are expressed in many of its songs. As of the Great Cataclysm, they had sold over 700,000 records across Irania Nui.
They were disbanded when Gelik and Karael became Toa.
