Pohatu is a Toa of Stone from Po-Koro. He's always making time to communicate with Matoran villagers and loves living among them.
History[]
Background Information[]
Not much is known about Pohatu's background. Though he was shown to have health problems with concerning his weight in the past, being treated by doctors for it ("Order"). He seems very free-spirited and lighthearted. He's an overall happy person.
Volume One[]
Pohatu and Kopaka go and talk to Tahu after noticing he was alone, though they end up scaring him. While Kopaka states that was his intention, Pohatu claims that it wasn't his personal intention and quickly apologizes for it ("Pilot"). Later, while Pohatu is sitting down, Kopaka approaches him. Though Kopaka quickly regrets it as Pohatu begins to talk and wants to hang out. Pohatu then makes a deal with Kopaka, telling him that if he can make a good pun, he can go. Kopaka agrees and tries to make a pun, attempting it three times. The first two were ridiculed by Pohatu, though Pohatu liked the final one. However Kopaka then throws his shield at Pohatu's face before leaving ("Puns").
Afterward, he goes to Onua's room and notices him on the computer. When he asks what he's up to, Onua explains he's checking his messages on Chirp, a website designed by a Le-Matoran. Though, Pohatu seems less supportive of it, and tells Onua that it seems to be a waste of time. Though he then admits he was just "pulling [his] leg" and leaves ("Chirp"). Sometime after, he assists Gali in the rally for dermis turtle awareness. After Tahu embarrasses himself by claiming the dermis turtle was a type of hat, he notices Lewa in the audience laughing, due to his nature he talks to Lewa and convinces him to apologize to Tahu ("What the Dermis Turtle?"). Later on he shows up at the place where Gali and Kopaka are out eating, exclaiming it was "fancy" seeing them there ("Conversation").
He later discovers that the theater where Lewa's play was set burnt down, and makes a pun about it to Lewa, Tahu, and Onua, much to their dismay ("Play"). Sometime afterward he, along with the other Toa, are treated out to Cafe Custom by Gali. However, Pohatu has a history of not being able to order and begins getting frantic about what he wants to eat. When it finally becomes his turn to order, he's able to order immediately, and grows proud of himself. However, it is revealed by the cashier that Pohatu's order was no longer served, much to Pohatu's surprise ("Order").
