Function[]
The Plasmetic Light Blade is a weapon that could draw upon light or heat-energy present within its environment. This is then concentrated into a blade that can cut or even melt through certain materials. Those with Elements meeting the required energy-types can use their Powers to fuel the blade. It can fire small streams or bursts of the energy, whether it be for lighting an area in darkness, or burning away at the enemy. With the right element, it can also be used to blind enemies, though this may not be the most effective usage of it.
As it draws power from light and heat, it shouldn't be a surprise that the levels of both determine its effectiveness. Those using their Elemental Energy to light it should use it sparingly, as leaving it active can drain their supplies.
History[]
The weapon was first created by an unknown Matoran on the island of Artakha. The ruler of the island decided to examine the blade himself to see if it can be replicated with other materials and at a lower cost of resources. Before he could study it, however, Kojol invaded the island and stole a number of artifacts and technologies. The Blade was among the items stolen, and was hidden within his private quarters on Destral. Though he experimented with his Rahkshi powers on it, he ultimately locked inside of his armory due to its reliance on external factors. Being the secret-keeper that he is, he never disclosed its location to his brothers and sisters, and thus none attempted to reclaim his vault after his assassination.
It remained there until the restoration of Spherus Magna and the fall of the Great Spirit Robot. It was found in Destral's wreckage by a Dark Hunter, who proceeded to sell it in the rising black market on the restored planet. Dilukrom eventually located and claimed the Blade, adding it to his private collection of artifacts. He had hoped to make use of it in his meetings and combat to sway more people into his private army, but he was defeated before he could do so. After his defeat and disappearance, it was reclaimed by the Order of Mata Nui and locked in a vault. It remains there to this day.
