Overview Toa

Plasma is one of the many secondary Elemental Powers.

Species Wielders[]

Matoran

  • Su-Matoran represent the Element of Plasma. Su-Matoran contain a very minuscule amount of Elemental Plasma energy to the extent that their bodies are even more resistant to heat than that of a Ta-Matoran and their eyes have protection against bright light.
  • Toa of Plasma possess the Elemental Power of Plasma, allowing them to create, control, and absorb plasma. Their only real limitation is that when they run out of Elemental Plasma Energy, they must wait for it to recharge.
  • Turaga of Plasma have have small traces of Elemental Plasma Energy.

Bohrok

  • Pahrak-Kal had a limited range of Plasma powers.

Makuta

  • Rahkshi and Kraata of Plasma, and all Makuta have a limited range of Plasma powers.

Examples[]

Thode 03

Thode burning Oltab with his signature Plasma Hand.

  • Creating plasma
    • Creating objects out of plasma such as blades, which can cut through almost anything.
    • Superheating Air
  • Controlling plasma
    • Using plasma to melt/incinerate a target
    • A few Toa are able to fine-tune their powers to the degree of being able to start a hydrogen fire.
  • Absorbing plasma
  • Manipulating the properties of neon
    • Creating neon lights
    • Firing neon lasers
  • Unleashing a Plasma Nova Blast

Canto Universe[]

  • Conjuring St. Elmo's fire
  • Supercharging a variety of elements

Combinations[]

  • Plasma can supplement and be supplemented by Lightning and Magnetism.
  • Beings other than Toa and the Krahka cannot combine powers of any sort to create a Protodermis cage. As long as each wields a different element, providing that Light and Shadow are not included at the same time, any six Toa can create a Protodermis cage.

Canto Universe[]

  • Plasma is often seen as a difficult power to control, with many novice Toa of Plasma capable of only unleashing powerful, white-hot blasts of energy from their inception as a Toa. As this generally gets the job done, more often than not, they are content with this level of mastery. They have ended up with a reputation of being the poor Matoran's Toa of Fire; capable of blasting just about anything with overwhelming heat and firepower, but not good for much else.
  • Had it not been for this pervasive way of thinking, the Brotherhood may have been more wary of Toa of Plasma, not unlike how they persecuted Iron and Magnetism users.
  • Throughout the annals of history, however, there have been a handful of particularly formidable Toa of Plasma. Unlike novice practitioners, they wield Plasma in a more supportive and restrained manner. As peace flourishes across Spherus Magna, more and more Toa of Plasma are taking the time to refine their skillset.
  • Instead of simply hurling plasma at their problems, proper mastery involves minute applications of plasma like superheating tiny pockets of air to start fires, or conjuring St. Elmo's fire to deliver electricity-based attacks. Undoubtedly, however, Plasma's most notable application is to boost a wide variety of other elements:
    • Superheating Fire, Stone and Earth. The former would allow for white-hot flames, while the latter two would create lava.
    • Amplifying Air and Sonics, to an even greater degree than Fire, by heating up the surrounding air in a large radius
    • Supercharging Lightning
    • Increasing the strength of Magnetic fields
    • Combining with Ice or Water to create supercritical fluids that may not be useful in combat, but invaluable in engineering applications

Known Users[]

Plasma Kanoka

Trivia[]

  • The vast majority of Matoran, Toa, and Turaga of Plasma are male.
  • The prefix "Su-" was derived the word "superheated", as plasma can be created by superheating gas.
  • In Matoran culture, the element's virtue was Ambition.
  • Control is essential when manipulating Plasma due to its incredibly destructive nature. This makes it difficult for Toa to fight directly using their powers without potentially killing an enemy.
