The Photon Bolt Launcher was a projectile weapon which fired non-elemental Light energy at a target, in the Fractures Universe.
History[]
The Photon Bolt Launcher was designed by Toa Velika during the early days of the Final Push, a conflict existing in the Fractures Universe between the Brotherhood of Makuta and the rest of the Matoran Universe.
Whilst serving in the Battle of the Southern Island Chain, Velika utilized the weapon against a number of Rahkshi platoons. The weapon's light-based projectiles would later proved to be extremely harmful towards the Brotherhood of Makuta, though the Toa of Stone would not allow his weapon to be put into mass-production as he did not approve of any sort of conflict in the Matoran Universe.
After serving his duty as a Toa for around a century, Velika retired from the conflict and began travelling the Matoran Universe in order to find a group of Matoran that would constitute a new generation of Toa, intent on transforming into a Turaga in the process. The Photon Bolt Launcher remained the Toa's primary weapon during this period.
When Velika finally did transform into a Turaga, the Photon Bolt Launcher was placed in the War Vault in the Coliseum on Metru-Nui for a number of years.
In more recent times, with the loss of his original Toa Tool, Toa Tollubo inherited the Photon Bolt Launcher, as requested by the Turaga of Stone. He used this weapon to threaten Hakann into revealing the home address of Hollian at one point. However, still unsure of how the weapon functioned, he was unable to fire it for this period of time.
The weapon was later repaired and upgraded by Turaga Velika, into a more powerful and easier to use Toa Tool capable of channeling and amplifying Tollubo's elemental powers.

The Photon Bolt Launcher was capable of firing concentrated bursts of Light energy, effective against Shadow users, though the energy is powerful enough to do damage to ordinary objects and can cause potentially lethal burns. The Photon Bolt Launcher was designed for both medium-range as well as long-range combat.
