Photis Magna[]
Photis Magna is a small planet created by The Shattering, but was launched out of Bara Magna's orbit. The planet is one large forest with few lakes, but no oceans. Only 5% of the planet has been charted. Besides the many Rahi, a village of about 30-40 matoran are the only inhabitants, not even Toa or Turaga
Matoran Culture[]
The matoran here don't view Mata-Nui as the Great Spirit, since they were here before The Shattering. They do have the same language as Aqua Magnian matoran, but in a different "dialect" where the letters are diamonds instead of circles.
Even though the matoran are not seperated by element, there are 4 different classes of matoran:
- Elders, who are elected to lead each element. They are given "pure" masks, a sign of honor.
- Athletes
- Workers
- Exiled, who have been banished to the other side of the Photis Lake.
Each element has certain jobs:
- Air = Rahi Herder / Tamer
- Earth = Miner
- Fire = Blacksmith
- Ice = Astronomer
- Stone = Engineer
- Water = Sailor / Fisherman
The elders set up rules that everyone must obey or they will be exiled:
- Do not commit murder.
- Do not commit theft.
- Do not leave the village.
