"Phantom" is a Dark Hunter, formerly Nynrah Ghost, who invented Theoretical Kanohi Creation in the Hidden in Deepest Shadows storyline.
History[]
"Phantom" started life as a Fe-Matoran based on Nynrah, and a member of the inventors known as the Nynrah Ghosts. He specialized in Kanohi Theory, and believed that combining Kanoka disks with already used Kanohi Masks, and particular metals, would create masks with even stronger powers, which couldn't be achieved by normal crafting means. Most of the other Nynrah Ghosts were more involved in biotechnology and nanotechnology, especially weaponry, so he was somewhat of an outcast.
Once, one of his colleagues had created a process to turn a Nynrah Ghost into a strong protector being, to fill the place of Toa in their domain. "Phantom" was selected for the experiment, because they deemed him the least useful. But the experiment didn't have the results they hoped, and "Phantom" was shunned as a monster.
Eventually, he made his way to the Dark Hunters, where he received the codename "Phantom". The Shadowed One saw him as less useful because he continued to have moral standards, which don't mix well with a mercenary's job. "Phantom," in fact, lived continuously in fear of his usefulness coming to an end.
During his time as a Dark Hunter, he met on a mission a young Fe-Matoran named Sarhab. Sarhab's village had been destroyed by the Makuta, and he was frightened and needed guidance. "Phantom," seeing a kindred spirit, decided to mentor the lost Matoran, and teach him everything he knew. Over time, "Phantom" and Sarhab continued to meet discreetly in different places, and "Phantom" passed on his entire theory of Kanohi. They eventually met and tried to forge one themselves, with "Phantom" guiding Sarhab, but since neither of them could use a Kanohi, they never knew if it worked. Sarhab kept the Kanohi Aachon, but "Phantom" was sent away to a mission on an island. Sarhab never knew if he was still alive. "Phantom" did live, and evacuated the Matoran Universe with the rest of its inhabitants, and now lives on Spheres Magna.
Abilities and Traits[]
Before his transformation, "Phantom" had increased endurance, like all Fe-Matoran.
After his transformation, "Phantom gained the abilities of increased strength, limited flight, enhanced eyesight, and invisibility.
Phantom retains his moral standards of his Matoran days as a Dark Hunter, which is notable. Also, he cares for Sarhab, and was emotionally wounded by the Nynrah Ghosts when they chose him as most useless, and shunned him as well.
