The Parakuka are a race originating from the island of Daxia.
History[]
Early History[]
The Parakuka were created by Karzahni to inhabit the island of Daxia. Into their structure, he placed strains of Miru, Pakari, and Ruru Ores and bits of Elemental Stone bound to Air. Aided by him, they quickly adapted to their homeland's heavily forested environment, and formed a tribal society.
At some point, some Parakuka began to emigrate to other islands, and minor populations were established.

Abilities and Traits[]
The Parakuka are a bipedal, humanoid species with noticeable bestial characteristics, including slightly digitigrade legs, large, clawed hands and feet, and wing-like protrusions sprouting from their backs. Their armor color varies by tribe. They are capable of wearing and using Kanohi, but rarely choose to do so. Internally, they retain the partially-organic composition of other species, and their Hearts are green in color.
The Parakuka are proud beings, fiercely loyal to their tribes, and do not take insults to their tribes lightly. Many skirmishes have broken out due to careless words being directed toward a Parakuka tribe.
The Parakuka are gifted with night vision, strength, and the ability to fly short distances with the aid of their wing-like protrusions.

Social Structures and Interactions[]
The Parakuka are divided into tribes, each with its own hierarchy and traditions. Members of tribes are distinguished by the color of the armor they wear, as well as the tribe crest worn on the left shoulder.
While society varies wildly between Parakuka tribes, there are some elements that remain common throughout all of them. Each tribe is always led by an "alpha male," i.e., a Parakuka male who has shown significant physical prowess and intelligence at some point. These "alpha males" are ceremonially adorned with cloth additions to their wing-like protrusions, to make them appear more like actual wings.
Most Parakuka tribes are based on Daxia, but a few minor tribes have been established elsewhere.
