Osmur is a Glatorian with powers related to radioactivity.
History[]
Osmur was born on Bara Magna, prior to the Shattering. Originally part of the Water Tribe of Tajun, Osmur accidentally was caught be the subject of experiments by the Great Beings. These experiments resulted in Osmur developing powers over energy and radiation; unbeknownst to him, this meant that he could be used as a potentially limitless power source. Osmur was then sealed off by these Great Beings, to be used to power machinery to build the Great Spirit Robot. Eventually, however, Osmur was able to overload his container and escape.
Osmur later fought in the Core War, defending Tajun with his strange powers. However, as collateral damage, he irradiated the waterfalls of Tajun, causing him to be exiled. After a few years the Tajunians felt remorseful, knowing that the damage had not been Osmur's intention, and allowed him to return.
Perfect Strangers Universe[]
In this reality, Osmur was not accepted back to Tajun, but became a bitter wanderer of Bara Magna, who sulked about and picked fights with those clearly stronger than him. At one point Osmur fought an unwitting Brutaka, who sent him across dimensions to Nexus Nui.
Abilities and Traits[]
Osmur was a rookie Glatorian without a large amount of skill, although this was simply due to lack of training, not sheer ineptitude. He was generally quite happy-go-lucky until after being experimented upon; he was then quite depressed and grumpy, complaining all the time. Soon, though, he realized that it was not a curse but a blessing, and became happier. This emotional cycle repeated after he was banned from Tajun and accepted back in later.
After being experimented upon by the Great Beings, Osmur became a living generator. He could fire blasts of energy, manipulate this energy, and absorb it. (Through unknown means, he could also channel these powers in the form of combustive blasts, which have significant explosive force.) This power set is coincidentally similar to that of a Toa. However, using these powers has the side effect of releasing harmful radiation into the environment. Osmur feels guilty about this, but feels justified by the fact that it wasn't his fault he was experimented upon.
