Onua is a Toa of Earth from Onu-Koro. He spends most of his free time in Onu-Koro with the Onu-Matoran residents of Mata Nui.
History[]
Background Information[]
Not much is known about Onua or his background. What is known is that he spends a lot of time in caves, primarily located in Onu-Koro. He is seems to be kind, though can also seem childish, using websites like Chirp just for followers ("Chirp").
Volume One[]
At a business meeting, Onua suggests his idea to raise stocks ("Pilot"). Later, he goes onto the website Chirp and notices he gained over 30,000 followers. He appears proud of himself, though when Pohatu mentions that he seems to be wasting his time, Onua grows discouraged. After Pohatu admits he was just joking and leaves, Onua realizes he should be doing other activities rather than staying in his room worrying about Chirp. In response to this, he destroys the computer. However, Gali walks in and notices. She get's upset with Onua, explaining she needed to check her Chirp messages ("Chirp").
Sometime after, Gali sets up a rally for dermis turtle awareness. Onua seems to care about it, though isn't too involved. After Tahu embarrasses himself in front of the crowd, he get's concerned and didn't find it funny at all, similar to Pohatu. However, he let it go ("What the Dermis Turtle?"). Later on, Onua and Tahu assist Lewa in his play. However, due to unfair roles, Tahu burns the entire theater down. Onua admits that all three of them just weren't cut out for acting. Pohatu then shows up and makes a pun about it ("Play"). Afterward, all of the Toa, including Onua, are treated out to eat at Cafe Custom by Gali. When the Toa question Pohatu about being able to order, Onua chimes in and tells Pohatu that even he knows that he's bad at ordering ("Order").
Later, Gali asks Onua if he got the computer fixed after destroying it. He tells her that he instead gave it to Nuparu, due to Nuparu claiming he had use for it's parts. Gali then states she's going to the store to buy a new one, in which Onua follows and they go to Best Buyonicle. However, due to the extreme prices, they can't afford it and are told to leave. Outside of the store, Nuparu shows up and gives Onua a prototype of a new computer he built using the parts from their old computer. When Onua refuses to let Gali use it, she hits him in the face and takes it ("Computer").

Trivia[]
- Onua initially wasn't meant to be present in the pilot episode due to a voice actor not being cast for him at the time of the pilot's production. However, near the end Ids5621 had been cast and an additional scene was implemented into the episode.
- He and Gali are the only ones to have another occupation named, as he is also a businessman.
