Nova is a Keerahki of Plasma who was created my Makuta Karall and is a member of The Protectors in the Misplaced Alternate Universe.

Biography

Early Life

Nova was created by Makuta Karall and placed in a village in the southern islands.

Village life

Nova lived in a peaceful village full of Keerahki like her, a few miles away from a matoran village. The only communication the two villages had was through trading. Nova didn't get along with many except for a female Keerahki named Voltra, who was of the lightning element. They were great friends and even lived together. Nova was a blacksmith and supplied the village with farming tools and building supplies. She also created weapons as a contingency plan in case anyone ever invaded. She only told Voltra as everyone else would most likely disapprove and think it a waste of resources.

Brotherhood Invasion

Due to her backup plan, she and Voltra were ready when the brotherhood invaded. They gave weapons' to everyone so that they could fight back. They lost more than half of their village but were able to prevail. A week later, after burring the dead and getting rid of the Makuta force's bodies, they were under attack by the matoran of the neighboring village, thinking that the Rahkshi Creature's had something to do with the invasion. Nova was ready to fight but was told to stand down and only defend herself by the village leaders. She did as ordered until Voltra was injured and wanted revenge. Before she could do anything, the remaining Toa of the island stopped the fighting and demanded the matoran explain what they were doing. While the cease-fire was happening, Nova grabbed a dagger and threw it at the matoran, who incapacitated Voltra. It landed in the Matoran's shoulder as the Toa turned to the Rahkshi Creatures. The Keerahki were disgusted with Nova's actions and told the toa so. They also showed the toa their graveyard and what was left of the Makuta's forces proving they were attacked as well. They exiled Nova for injuring a matoran for her action during a cease-fire to make peace.

Nova left her island on a boat and could not tell her friend goodbye to her being unconscious with the only thought that she would be safe now that the Matoran and Toa trusted the Rahkshi Creatures of her former island.

Alone

Nova was furious with her former village leaders, knowing they would have most likely died without her help and weapons'. So she went south to another island and took a cave where she was left to her thoughts and started creating a weapon to take out enemies faster called it the Plasma Sub-Machine Gun. During her exile, she was confronted by Makuta Karall, a Keerahki of fire named Frie, and a Keerahki of Gravity named Agrav, who told her she had a destiny on Aura-Nui. Against her better judgment, she listened to the Makuta and asked why he invaded as she readied her heat vision. He told her the brotherhood had a rebellion and chose the opposite side. So she stopped her plan of attack and gathered her stuff. The group later met up with a Keerahki of Earth named Tetch, and the group headed to Aura-Nui, leaving the Makuta of Light behind as he wished.

Arrival to Aura-Nui

When they arrived at Aura-Nui, a Rahi named Grez greeted them and allowed them to join The Protectors due to it being their destiny. The other three were hesitant to help the matoran after what they did to their families, but Tetch had no such thoughts due to her living in an isolated situation. Here these matoran were very kind to them and did not fear them. The others slowly got used to their new condition after meeting Chearman, Sugi, Jeb, and Lili, and the others realized they were welcome on Aura Nui.

A Toa Named Tath came to the island with a group of matoran and joined the protectors as it's only toa.

About a year later, Ligi and Tluie arrived on the beaches, and The protectors greeted them. Tluie was shocked to see Nova among them and ran towards her. She recognized him and told him to go away until he asked if Voltra was there. Shocked, Nova asked why she would be here, and Taluie said their mural friend left to find her. Agrav and Frie were confused and thought the matoran killed her village when Nova explained the truth. Taluie showed Nova his friendship necklace when she realized Tluie loved Voltra. The two slowly became friends and made plans to find Voltra as Ligi became a medic in town.

Although, years later, when Toa Orde arrived, Tath left the island to help awaken Mata-Nui. Around this time, Nova finished her Plasma SMG with the help of Tluie, and they were proud of their creation.

Around this time, Tahu joined the Protectors as Turaga Gruru, and Turaga Pohatu arrived in Aura-Nui.

Rise of the Toa Hordika

Tath returned with Macku and Hewkii, but they were infected with Hordika Venom. The Protectors tried to help the Toa, but the Venom messed with their minds and went insane. Grez was forced to fight his former friend and was severely injured before he could heal the mutated toa. Grez would have died if Tahu had not intervened. The Protectors fell back to the village and reported the incident. A ga-matoran known as Ligi along with Sugi helped heal the injured Rahi and Tahu, while Chearman and the matoran prepared for the Hordika to strike again.

Newest Member

Due to Toa Tahu being gravely injured after saving Grez, Tahu made a Toa stone and gave it to Hawohi. The humbled Hawohi used the Toa Stone in the village Suva and became a Toa of Gravity. Hawohi then aided The Protectors in defending Aura-Nui.

Abilities and Traits

Nova was able to manipulate plasma which helped with her blacksmithing. In addition, she could fire heat vision out of her eyes and be resistant to high temperatures. She also was an experts crafter.

Nova was angry, hotheaded, shot first, and asked questions later. She was not afraid to call out Chearman when he was a jerk or outright stupid. Chearman hated this at first but later appreciated that Nova was keeping him in check.
