Nokama was a Ga-Matoran teacher native to Metru Nui who later became the Toa Metru of Water.

History[]
Nokama was created by Mata Nui during the early years of the Matoran Universe's existence.
As a Matoran, Nokama worked as a teacher in the Ga-Metru Schools. On one occasion, she was playing near a Protodermis Canal and accidentally slipped and fell into it. The current carried the frightened and drowning Ga-Matoran all the way to Ko-Metru before her friends were finally able to rescue her. During her career, she received the prestigious awards of Exemplary Teacher and Innovative Protodermis Purification. After one of Nokama's students discovered Dermis Turtles and their population exploded in the area, Turaga Dume considered banning the Rahi from the city. It was Nokama who convinced him otherwise.
Toa Lhikan later gave Nokama a Toa Stone during one of her classes. the Ga-Matoran then took the stone to the Great Temple, where she met five other Matoran who had also been given Toa Stones by Lhikan. Placing their Toa Stones into their respective slots in the Suva, the Matoran were coated with energy from another Toa, which transformed them into the Toa Metru.
The six Toa would later meet up with Kuurk, where the robot Overlord would train them and force them to learn how to work together as a team. Once their training was completed, the Toa Metru were integrated into his Empire to become his organization's second line of defense.
Nokama was among many members of the Empire to emigrate over to the Earth-like planet of Helvean when the organization moved its base of operations there.

Nokama is peaceful and wise, but is known for her excessive talking and dislike of compromising. She also tends to sometimes believe that she is always right.
As a Toa of Water, Nokama can control, create or absorb water.
