Nocturn was a powerful Tetrakai condemned for committing unpardonable crimes against the Matoran Universe.
Biography[]
Long ago, in a fit of rage, Nocturn destroyed his home island, and because of it, he was sentenced to the Pit.
Mahri Nui[]
After the Great Cataclysm freed him and the rest of the prisoners, Nocturn took residence in the Razor Whale's Teeth. He was involved as an ally of the Barraki in the Battle of Mahri Nui and the struggle for the Mask of Life.
After the Mask of life was lost, Nocturn managed to avoid capture for three days. Then he was attacked by a raging Zyglak, a Maxilos Robot, and Toa Dumaire, who were trying to recapture him under Hydraxon's command. The trio was overwhelmed by Nocturn's strength, but Dumaire was able to hit one of his harpoons in his left eye. However, that just made him much more furious. The Zyglak and Dumaire ended up badly injured, and the Maxilos robot destroyed. When Nocturn had them cornered, he was raided by a Toa of Air named Lesovikk, Sarda and Sephxion. While the two Toa and the Zyglak kept him occupied, the two Matoran used the Maxilos' Cordak Blaster against the escaped warrior. It gave them the opportunity to finish him and defeat him.
Nocturn was imprisoned in the newly reformed Pit, and when he attempted another escape, he accidentally died.
Alternate Versions[]
Order of Tarkumen Storyline[]
While on the Red Star, Nocturn was shunned by the main encampment and ended up killing several Kestora and City Building Creatures. When the Order of Tarkumen arrived on the star, Nocturn and some Order of Mata Nui Members were contacted by the Spectral Mask and given enhanced mental shielding to fight them. Hydraxon was killed by Heremus and Botar by Tuyet, although Nocturn continued wandering and killed several Great Beings before being transported to the Spaceship Tarkumen where he fled from Maxilos robots and joined up with the Nynrah Six.
Abilities and traits[]
Nocturn, while not very intelligent, was very easily angered and acted mainly on instinct.
Nocturn is very strong; his strength is increased by his anger. His entire species is amphibious, meaning he can survive in both water and land. They are also partially immune to Pit Mutagen.
Cursed by the Ignika, Nocturn gained the ability to kill things with a single touch. Initially enjoying it, he grew to dislike it as it made him unable to enjoy any kill he made.
