Nilkuu is the Protector of Stone, and leader of the Region of Stone. Within the Timeless Heroes alternate universe, Nilkuu found Pohatu’s Mask of Stone and subsequently inherited his powers.
History[]
Early life[]
Nilkuu was born to the previous Protector of Stone and an unknown woman. Along with the other children of the other Protectors, Nilkuu was trained to one day replace his father. His training was notably more intense than the other children's, resulting in a hardened personality in his adulthood.
Nilkuu eventually succeeded his father as Protector of Stone and leader of the Region of Stone when he passed away from unknown circumstances.
Prophecy of Heroes[]
With the increasing threat of the Skull Spiders, Nilkuu joined the other Protectors at the Temple of Time to recite the Prophecy of Heroes, hoping to summon the legendary Toa so they may aid them. After the recitation, comets from the celesial bodies in Okoto's skies descended on the island. Narmoto was drawn to a volcano in the Region of Fire, where one of the comets landed.
The Protectors did their best to hold off a Skull Spider ambush as their leader investigated the crashsite, only to one by one become subdued by the creatures. They were quickly rescued by a newly empowered Narmoto, who was now wearing Toa Tahu's Golden Mask. Nilkuu's attempts to remove the apparently glued mask from Narmoto's mask caused the Protector of Fire to receive a fragmented vision from Ekimu. Deducing that the other comets were the rest of the Toa's masks, the Protectors split off to retrieve them from their respective regions. Nilkuu retrieved Pohatu's Golden Mask from the deserts of the Region of Stone.
Ekimu's completed message sent Nilkuu and the Protectors to the City of Mask Makers, where Ekimu's spirit urged them to find him. With their new powers and masks, the Protectors defeated the Lord of Skull Spiders and entered the City.

Abilities and traits[]
Having had a more militant upbringing than his fellow Protectors, Nilkuu was the most serious out of the group. His desire to live up to his father and family's legacy as the Protector of Stone created in him a tendency to overcompensate. As a result, he has a habit of being rash and reckless, as demonstrated when he attempted to use aggressive methods in his attempt to free Narmoto from Tahu's mask.
Trained to be a Protector since his childhood, Nilkuu has exceptional skills in manipulating elemental Stone. Upon wearing Pohatu's mask, his power over Okoto's Stone increased tenfold.
Mask and Tools[]
Nilkuu originally wore the Protector Mask of Stone, which granted him power over Okoto's Stone. He later found and equipped Pohatu's Golden Mask, which substantially increased his powers.
He wields a Sandstone Blaster, a scepter with an Elemental Blaster at the end that allows him to shoot pellets that can create any stone structures of his desire.
