Naran, AKA "Agent Orange", is a mercenary, arms dealer, and weapons expert. He is a one-man black market, having sold to countless beings and organizations including the Order of Mata Nui, the Dark Hunters, and, at one time, the League of Six Kingdoms. He is equally skilled at business as he is at killing, often times crafting and engineering his own weapons for the job. He was, at one time, a member of the Dark Hunters. However, he left the organization after an altercation with the Shadowed One, preferring to work solo.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Naran was born on one of the southern islands in the Matoran Universe, where he lived in a primitive but peaceful village with the rest of his species, who as a whole were distinctively clad in orange armor. During his early life, Naran demonstrated high levels of engineering skill, responsible for creating most of the village's homes, bridges, and other architecture. However, he was in fact bored with his existence, with his job as the island's engineer being the sole source of excitement in his life.
One day , Naran discovered a washed-up cache containing an array of damaged Vortixx-manufactured weapons and technology. Fascinated by the intricacy and power of the foreign technology, Naran took the cache to an isolated workshop and secretly began to retool and modify the weapons, planning to incorporate the technology into his village's society. In a matter of days, he rapidly learned the technology's features and managed to create his future trademark weapons: reverse-engineered, arm-mounted Energy Whips.
Unknownst to Naran, a Vortixx search party had landed on the island, looking for the missing cache of technology. When the other villagers denied any knowledge of the cache, the Vortixx believed them to be lying and massacred all of the people. When Naran finally returned to his village with his newly finished inventions, he realized that his actions had caused the death of his entire species. In a fit of rage, Naran slew every one of the Votixx squad members using his new energy whips, despite having no prior combat experience. He has nursed a deep hatred of the Vortixx after this incident. After this, Naran took the weapons of the Vortixx squad and left the island, seeing no point in staying on the island.
