Locuz is a deceased Makuta, remembered for being responsible for resurrecting Toa Ihu.
Biography[]
Brotherhood of Makuta[]
When the Makuta were assigned regions of the universe to protect, Locuz was assigned the small Shunt Island, home to a small colony of Matoran.
Volatile[]
Toa Volatile became the apprentice of Makuta Locuz, who taught her how to control her new-found powers.
When Locuz started to work on bringing Ihu back to life, "Volatile" learned of what he was doing and tried to stop him, but Locuz wiped her memory of the event and sent her back to Destral, where Antroz recommenced her training.
Makuta-Dark Hunter War[]
During this war, Makuta Locuz created a robotic device that would route out and capture any Dark Hunters. Sadly, Teridax wanted to use it to kill instead of capture. Locuz stopped Teridax, but was cast out of the Brotherhood.
Post-Brotherhood[]
Upon being expelled from the Brotherhodd of Makuta, Locuz dissappeared from the public eye and the view of the brotherhood and assumed a new identity. He went underground, and began partaking in under-handed crimes within cities across the matoran universe. Eventually he made his way to Metru nui, many years later, were he joined a team of Ga Matoran smugglers, shape shifting into a matoran-esque form to do so. After about a year had passed, news had come that a Matoran had died at the hands of Makuta involvment. He was angered by this and vowed he would do anything to correct the situation.
Ihu[]
Upon finding the matoran, Locuz knew his existence was more important than he could have imagined. He knew to stop the Brotherhood that he would need to resurrect him. He also knew about Ihu's future Locuz used a portion of his life essence to resurrect Ihu, dying shortly after.
Abilities and Traits[]
In his younger days, Locuz was one of the Brotherhood of Makuta's top scientists, and was particularly interested in experimenting with Toa power.
Locuz possessed many special powers typical to his species, which included elemental Shadow powers, Kraata production, and the forty-two Kraata powers. Locuz never produced a Shadow Hand, believing its absorption capability to be immoral, though he never shared his reasoning with his fellow Makuta
Mask and Tools[]
Locuz wore a Miru, the Kanohi Mask of Levitation, and carried a Laser Crossbow, though he virtually never engaged another being in combat.

- The name 'Locuz' is a play on the word 'locust', a type of insect.
