Leeta is a Bo-Matoran Hydruka Keeper in Mahri Nui.
History[]
Leeta spent much of her early life as a legal expert in Papuni Nuva, enjoying life in the city. Her time here was cut short by an accident, which a rival used to as leverage to get rid of her. She was sent to Karzahni for repairs, and her body was rebuilt into a smaller and weaker form. She was sent back to the Southern Continent, but not to the urban sprawl she was used to but to the uninhabited regions deep within the continent. She immediately began planning a journey back to Papuni Nuva, but before she could embark the Great Cataclysm launched the region that would become Voya Nui into the Endless Ocean.
Leeta moved to Mahri Nui as soon as it became clear it was growing into something resembling a city. She lived there until it was knocked loose from the island by an earthquake and sank into the Voya Nui Bay. After surviving the plunge, Leeta would go on to join the Hydruka Keepers, caring for the Rahi who maintained the Air Domes around the city.
Leeta was the one to tell Gar that Reysa was sick, and would later let Defilak know that Gar had gone out on his own with the Hydruka while he was away. She lent him a metal fork the Hydruka Keepers used to send commands to the Hydruka.

Leeta is a highly driven and competent individual, she has a strong drive to do her best regardless of what she's doing.
Powers and Equipment[]
As a Bo-Matoran, Leeta has a supernatural green thumb and a mild natural resistance to poisons. Her legal experience has given her a useful batch of skills, from social skills to multitasking to a high stress tolerance. Leeta wears a Kanohi Faxon, and carries an Electro-Hook and a prod to help coax difficult Hydruka along.

- Leeta was originally created for Hellbound in 2014, serving as a character for Defilak to bounce off of with most of the cast of Rock Bottom dead or away from the city for the bulk of the story. While her role shifted in subsequent rewrite attempts, DeltaStriker opted to make reference to her in the 2022 remaster of Rock Bottom, establishing her as one of the Hydruka Keepers.
- While Bo-Matoran typically present as masculine in the Afterverse, much like the Core Universe, Leeta spent her early like on the Southern Continent, far from the more rigid and binary societal structures of Metru Nui. In the southern parts of the Matoran Universe, gender presentation is not as strictly defined by Matoran sub-species as it is in Metru Nui and the Northern Continent. So despite breaking the gender norms for Bo-Matoran, Leeta would not describe herself as transgender, as she has never presented as masculine.
