Kyria Nui is an island of the Southern Chain of the Matoran Universe.
History[]
Kyria Nui was one of the three islands conquered by Rothma under the command of Carapar and the League of the Six Kingdoms, and as a reward, he was appointed as the ruler of the island. Rothma commanded his servants to build a giant fortress in case of his allies needed protection. Eventually, the league leaders, the Barraki, were defeated, but Rothma kept on fighting and refused to give up, as he tried to take control of most of Carper's armies, who eventually gathered there and all inhabitants were taken under house arrest, forcing them to create weapons and increase the city's defenses.
However, Two local Toa, Nymeria and Kalen, contacted a Makuta named Nerok and his Toa companion Martok. While Nerok's forces attacked the fortress, he and his Toa companion would attack Rothma head on. After a fierce battle, Rothma was defeated and forced to retreat. As a reward for his victory, the Brotherhood of Makuta appointed Nerok as the protector of the island, while the three Toa who helped him were assigned with the bodyguards of Makuta Naokio. After Naokio exiled from the brotherhood, they were assigned to Nerok, so Kyria Nui became their new headquarters.
After their failed attempt of rebellion, the three last surviving members of the team hid back in the island in order to make a plan to remove Nerok from the control of the island.
Landscape[]
Because of being a base for the League of Six Kingdoms, most of the island is a great fortress. However, after years of countless battles, the outside walls of the fortress are already ruins, full of flora and Rahi that have taken them as their home. Despite that, the inside walls of the fortress are almost impenetrable, and the local Matoran have made of it their home.
Beneath the ground, the fortress has countless of underground tunnels that usually work as a sewer system, but they can also be used as emergency exits for the Matoran in case of evacuation.
At the west of the island, there is another, smaller fortress, which belongs to Makuta Nerok. There resides a pool of Energized Protodermis that is used to create Rahkshi.
