Kulta, the Skull Grinder, is the creator of the Skull Creatures and the leader of the Undead Raiders.

History[]
Kulta was created by Mata Nui during the early days of the Matoran Universe.
Kulta started out as a thief on the island of Okoto, but this lifestyle eventually changed when one day, he accidentally created a species of undead spider-like creatures which terrorized the islanders until they were driven off by the Protectors. This event led the islanders to call these creatures, Skull Spiders. It was at that moment Kulta discovered that he could use reanimation magic to bring the deceased back to life. With this new power, he created the Undead Raiders, and together with his friend, Umarak, they plagued Okoto for many years, stealing various Kanohi Masks and other valuable materials for their own selfish needs. Eventually, the famed Mask Maker, Ekimu, with the aid of the six Protectors, managed to defeat the army of robbers and made them retreat into the mountains.
Following this humiliating defeat, Trazark approached Kulta and Umarak to offer an alliance, which the two accepted and pledged to his cause. After Trazark killed Ekimu, he ordered Kulta and Umarak to command the Undead Raiders to commit mass genocide on the populace of Okoto as an act of revenge on them for not treasuring his masks.
Kulta is currently guarding the Temple of Shadows alongside Umarak, awaiting the day he will face a worthy foe.
Abilities and Traits[]
Kulta is said to be powerful, but also very dangerous. He possesses enough raw strength to fell six Toa at once with his Mask of Undeath, as it can kill its targets whereever they stand upon usage.
Despite his dark and macabre nature, he is shown to have a good friendship with Umarak, and the two prefer working together as a means of striking at their enemies when they don't expect it.
