Biography[]
Krekka and his species were created by Mata Nui during the early years of the Matoran Universe's existence.
Krekka originally worked as a guard on Stelt, as his species were some one of the island's lower classes. His job was to prevent anybody from trespassing past the place he was stationed at, often through violent means. This continued until he tried to deny Gorast from getting in by sending her through a wall and starting a fight between the two, which resulted in the loss of his right eye. Krekka was severely beaten by the Makuta and lost the fight and his job as a result, and eventually left his home island of Stelt. From there, he journeyed from island to island, often getting into bad situations due to his simple-mindedness and stupidity, while able to get out of them due to his massive strength. This attracted the attention of the Dark Hunters, and they recruited Krekka into their ranks.
During his time as a Dark Hunter, Krekka was part of a team trained by Nidhiki, a Toa who had recently joined the organization, for a mission. Nidhiki was ready to pass them all except Krekka, whom he thought of as being too stupid. However, The Shadowed One didn't trust Nidhiki due to his history as a traitor, and assigned Krekka as his partner, something the former Toa of Air was most displeased with.
Krekka, Nidhiki and Lariska were assigned to search for and bring to the Shadowed One a couple of mysterious prototype launchers. They succeeded in stealing the items, though Nidhiki wanted to keep two for himself, and offered one to Krekka as a bribe. Krekka insisted that they give all three to the Shadowed One, and his loud refusal attracted the attention of the local residents, and he and Nidhiki made a hasty escape and delivered the weapons to their leader. When Nidhiki left the Dark Hunters unnoticed, Krekka noticed his disappearance, and The Shadowed One assigned Krekka to go and find him.
Almost a century later of looking, The Overlord of Robots, Kuurk, would track down and encounter Krekka in Po-Metru. A battle ensued, but despite his attempts to defeat his new opponent, Krekka was quickly incapacitated by him. Kuurk then informed him that Nidhiki had defected over to his Empire's side. He then gave Krekka a few choices: join his Empire, or die. Obviously not wanting death, he chose the former out of fear and intimidation. Pleased with his decision, Krekka was brought over to Kuurk's Empire, and upgraded with bulkier, more stronger armor. He was also given a replacement eye to his lost right eye, but had it color coded to a clear color to reflect the one eyed bandit look. Afterwards, Krekka became a Bounty Hunter, sometimes being paired with his old partner Nidhiki in some missions.
Krekka was among many members of Kuurk's Empire to emigrate over to the Earth-like planet of Helvean when the organization moved its base of operations there.
Abilities and Traits[]
Krekka is known for his sheer power and brute strength, which inspired terror in many of his opponents, though he was very bulky and heavy, resulting in his lack of speed and agility. He is also extremely stupid, a trait which was kept in check by more intelligent beings such as Nidhiki. His stupidity resulted in a blinded loyalty to the Shadowed One, though he changed his views when Kuurk gave him his replacement eye.
Despite his low intelligence, he was a veteran of many battles, and knew how to use his power to his advantage. Krekka is also able to conjure up Energy Handcuffs from his hands, and has the ability to fly, though was known to forget that he could do so from time to time. He is also a related cousin of Sidorak.
