"Kojol was a secretive sort, never sharing what he knew with anyone, not even the location of Artakha itself. His specialties were flying Rahi and sea Rahi, both of whom protected his region from any intrusion, even by us."
―Mutran's description of Kojol, The Mutran Chronicles.

Kojol was a Makuta and a member of the Brotherhood of Makuta, infamous for stealing the Avohkii from Artakha.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Kojol was created by Mata Nui alongside the other Makuta from a greenish-black liquid on an island in one the Southern Chains of the Matoran Universe. Alongside the rest of his species, he became a member of the Brotherhood of Makuta, an organization tasked with maintaining order and carrying out the will of Mata Nui.

After the Matoran Civil War on Metru Nui came to an end, Miserix, the leader of the Brotherhood of Makuta, assigned Kojol to supervise the island of Artakha and the uninhabited island connected to it. He became one of the few beings who knew its ruler, and kept the location of the island a secret from everyone, going so far as to use his air and sea Rahi to protect Artakha from all intruders, even other Makuta.

When Teridax demanded a Convocation be held on Destral to reveal his plan to overthrow the Great Spirit, Kojol sided with Teridax. This plan relied a great deal on the cooperation of Kojol, whose secrecy irritated Bitil and Mutran. When the Makuta first evolved, Kojol had a small portion of his Antidermis and armor taken from him by Chirox for study in order to discern what had happened to them.

Raid on Artakha[]

Later, Kojol led the raid on Artakha to steal the Kanohi Avohkii, and was the only Makuta to take part in it. During the invasion, Kojol led a strike team of Visorak, Rahkshi and Exo-Toa. The team of Visorak was quickly defeated by two Crystal Serpents, and the Rahkshi defeated by Artakha's inventions. However, the Rahkshi bought enough time for the the Exo-Toa to take control of the island, permitting Kojol to enter Artakha's fortress and take the Avohkii.

Kojol later traveled to Xia to request an armor-eating type of virus to be incorporated into a weapon. While there, he hid several viruses beneath Xia for safe-keeping; which would be recovered by the Shadowed One thousands of years later. Unbeknownst to Kojol, Artakha had requested the Order of Mata Nui eliminate all who knew the location of his island, including the Makuta assigned to his island. Tobduk arranged for Kojol's virus to escape, and it devoured Kojol's armor. Kojol's Antidermis was then destroyed by the blazing flames of a Xian foundry.

Abilities and Traits[]

As a Makuta, Kojol possessed control over Shadow, the ability to create Kraata, as well as 42 Kraata powers. Even for a Makuta, Kojol was secretive and did not share his knowledge to others except when it was most convenient for him. His knowledge made him arrogant and obnoxious.

Forms[]

Being a Makuta, Kojol had access to 42 Rahkshi powers, including shapeshifting. Below is a list of known forms taken by Kojol.

Antidermis Antidermis Antidermis, like all Makuta, was the essence of Kojol. It was a greenish-black energy that was contained inside his armor, and if leaked, it could float as mist over the air and be collected. However, the energy would dissipate after a period of time.
