Kerath is a male Vortixx Dark Hunter.
History[]
As a Male Vortixx, Kerath was looked down on by the females of his species, and was made to work on the weapons factories of Xia. Kerath worked in the section of Xia that produced Harpoon weaponry. Working there, he developed an interest and skill in technology, and made several modifications and improvements to the weapons he worked with. However, when the females refused to even consider adapting the weapons to his ideas, he became disillusioned with life on Xia. Together with seven other male Vortixx, he made a dual escape/retaliation plan where he rigged several guns to explode and placed them in the assembly line, causing a massive explosion that destroyed most of the harpoon gun facility. All but one of the workers involved in the plot escaped, but the Xian authorities set a pursuit. Kerath found a Dark Hunter outpost on the island of Stelt, and offered his services to the Dark Hunters in exchange for asylum and the usage of Dark Hunter weaponry. He was accepted, and given the codename “Marine”.
Personality[]
Kerath is not generally talkative, and carefully thinks over anything he needs to say. He is disillusioned with the desires and beliefs of the Matoran Universe in general, and has a tendency to ridicule the beliefs of
others that he does not find rational. Kerath has a strong hatred of the females of his own species, and this extends to a distrust and unfriendliness of females of any other species.
Powers and abilities[]
As a Vortixx, Kerath is capable of launching non-elemental shadow from his hands. He primarily uses this ability to temporarily blind enemies or obscure his own retreats. Kerath carries a Takea Harpoon Gun, which he built entirely from memory. Though the weapon was originally designed only for fishing use, Kerath has made several modificiations to the weapon, which can now function as a flamethrower, water cannon, assault rifle or sniper rifle.
Kerath also has a Rhotuka launcher mounted on his arm. It launches Apathy Rhotuka, which dulls a target’s senses and mind.
