Karzahni is a member of the Council of Kehidupan, formerly a weapon crafter for the Brotherhood of Makuta and member of the Order of Mata Nui.

Biography

Early life

1000 years before the Great Cataclysm War, Karzahni was created by Mata Nui as a Bo-Matoran. He did maintenance on the Great Spirit Robot. As a Bo-Matoran he used his limited elemental powers to maintain the flora within the Great Spirit Robot. He joined the Order of Mata Nui at the request of Artakha.

He was chosen by the Brotherhood of Makuta to be a weapons crafter, tasked with modifying their weapons using Protosteel. He was granted a powerful mask and the ability to use it.

During the war against Abaddon, Karzahni was protected by the Brotherhood of Makuta and pressured into making more powerful weapons. After the tyrant was defeated, the Brotherhood of Makuta forced him to create armour and weapons strong enough to defeat the Toa Neirae.

Karzahni worked in secret to make armour and weapons for the Order of Mata Nui, fearing what the Brotherhood of Makuta would do with their new power.

Betrayal by the Brotherhood

Despite his best efforts, Karzahni and the Order of Mata Nui were defeated by the Brotherhood of Makuta. He was called a traitor and went into hiding with Helryx. His body was severely damaged in the escape. Karzahni took inspiration from Mata Nui and modified his mask so it could contain his spirit.

After the Great Cataclysm War

After the Great Cataclysm War had ended, Karzahni worked with the Matoran to build a vat to contain his mask. He intends to create a body for himself without using the powers of the Ignika. He formed a group of inventors to help him with this task.

Karzahni discussed the formation of the Infernal Legion with the Council of Kehidupan when Helryx returned with the news. Later, he discussed the possibility of a traitor in the Order of Mata Nui, given how well prepared the Infernal Legion had been when combatting the Order of Mata Nui.

Betraying the Council

At some point, Karzahni bargains with the Infernal Legion, providing them entrance to the Core Processor in exchange for some of Atrakha's creations. He is betrayed by Vicoran, however, and Crescent shatters the vat holding his mask, causing him to scream in pain.

Personality and traits

Karzahni is quiet and thoughtful. He does not speak unless spoken to, a force of habit from his time working for the Brotherhood of Makuta. He enjoys the company of the Council of Kehidupan, becoming comfortable enough to speak his mind and suggest ideas.

He enjoys tinkering with weapons and upgrading armour. Karzahni never sees a project as finished, only "ready for use". He rarely looks back at his old creations, unless to upgrade or improve upon the design.

Powers and equipment

Karzahni carried crafting tools when he was a Bo-Matoran. He had a small fort in the Core Processor where he kept all of his tools, though most of his original tools are now lost. He has a personal collection of Makuta weaponry.

He wears the Mask of Deconstruction. Karzahni uses the mask to re-forge weapons, taking them apart into their fundamental components. Since losing his physical body, he can use the mask's power to visualise how any object in sight can be broken down into parts.
